One of the biggest changes in Path of Exile 2 is the removal of item sockets, replaced by a dedicated gem menu with nine slots for skill and meta gems. This system makes gem management easy for all players, while offering even greater flexibility in building powerful setups. Every Skill Gem and Support Gem in Path of Exile 2

Path of Exile 2 introduces an overhauled ability system, offering 240 Skill Gems for active skills and 200 Support Gems to alter them. This guide encompasses 137 out of 240 Skill Gems and 90 out of 200 Support Gems. In simpler terms, the guide covers a portion of the available skill gems for active abilities (137 out of 240) and support gems to modify them (90 out of 200).

This guide will be updated as more information becomes available.

In Path of Exile 2, the revised skill system offers you greater flexibility in tailoring your character’s build, as Support Gems are now embedded directly into Skill Gems. This streamlines the process regardless of the class you choose. Each skill is capable of being six-linked, and all gems start at level 1. For those seeking a boost, there are also uncut versions of the gems available.

In the tables below, you’ll find information about every known Skill Gem and Support Gem in POE 2.

All Skill Gems

In this new version of the game, skill gems come with anywhere from two to five sockets. This means you can link up to five different abilities within these sockets, much like the six-link setups in the original game. If you happen to find a gem with fewer sockets, you can enhance it using in-game items. Regardless of whether you choose to play as a Ranger, a Witch, or another class, you’ll have an abundance of gems at your disposal to strengthen your character.

Armour Piercing Rounds Load your Crossbow with a clip of bolts that can be fired rapidly and Break enemy Armour. Using this skill again reloads the clip. 15 Mana Crossbow 28% Attack Damage, Hits Break 7 Armour.
Barrage Ready a volley of arrows, causing your next bow attack to repeat multiple times. Consumes your frenzy charges on use to add additional repeats. 16 Mana Bow Buff causes your next Bow Attack to repeat 2 times, plus an additional time per Frenzy Charge consumed.
Barrier Invocation Casting the skill once grants a buff that causes you to gain energy when you take Energy Shield damage from a hit, up to a maximum. Bind Spectre Captures the spirit of a defeated monster, allowing you to summon it as a Minion. TBC None required None
Blasphemy Combines all socketed Curse skills into a vile Aura, applying their effects to all nearby enemies. TBC None required Socketed Curse Skills apply in an Aura around you.
Bone Cage Raises a ring of bone spikes around you. The spikes explode when an enemy touches them, damaging and Pinning nearby enemies. 12 Mana None required 13% Chance of Critical Strike.
Bone Offering Impales a Skeleton on a bone spike to shield your Minions while the spike remains. The shield absorbs all damage from the next Hit each Minion takes, then explodes. 10 Mana None required 8% Chance of Critical Strike.
Boneshatter Attacks enemies with a melee Strike. The Strike will cause a Heavy Stun on enemies that are Primed for Stun. Upon causing a Heavy Stun it will also create a Shockwave, dealing a large amount of damage in an area. 5 Mana Two Hand Mace, One Hand Mace 50% Attack Damage.
Bonestorm Channel to conjure a swarm of bone spikes in the air, then release to fire them at enemies. Shrapnel lodges in enemies hit, causing attacks against them to deal additional damage. Cast on Minion Death While active, gains Energy when one of your Minions dies, and triggers socketed Spells upon reaching maximum Energy. Reservation: 30 Spirit None required Gains Energy when your Minions die, based on the defensive power of the Minion.
Cast on Shock Grants a buff that causes you to gain energy when you shock enemies and trigger socketed spells on reaching maximum energy. Reservation: 100 Spirit None required Gain 20 Energy when you Shock an Enemy with a Hit from a Skill, once per Skill use.
Cast while Channelling Cast while Channelling gains energy while you channel. On reaching maximum energy, Trigger all socketed spells. Reservation: 100 Spirit None required Gains 60 Energy per second while you are Channelling.
Charged Staff Consume all Power Charges to infuse your Quarterstaff with electricity for a duration, adding Lightning damage and a Lightning shockwave to your Quarterstaff Attacks. Reusing the skill while the buff is active grants additional duration and damage up to a cap. 17 Mana Quarterstaff Adds Lightning damage and a Lightning shockwave to your Quarterstaff Attacks.
Cold Snap Shatters a Frozen enemy dealing a large amount of Cold Damage in a small area. Can be used on a Frostbolt to detonate it causing Cold Snap to trigger on all Frozen enemies near it. 12 Mana None required 13% Chance of Critical Strike.
Comet Pull a massive icy chunk from the air, dealing high damage at the targeted location. Targeting close up will cause you to float back as you cast. 92 Mana None required 13% Chance of Critical Strike.

Conduction Supports any skill that hits enemies, making it more likely to Shock enemies. TBC None required Supported Skills have 20% increased chance to Shock.
Contagion Afflicts a single enemy with a debuff that deals Chaos damage over time. If the enemy dies while affected by Contagion, it and all other Chaos damage over time debuffs spread to nearby enemies and refresh their durations. Reanimating or detonating a corpse affected by Contagion will cause the minion or explosion to spread Contagion on hit. 11 Mana None required Deals 1.8 base Chaos Damage per second.
Dark Effigy Raises a Totem that bombards enemies afflicated by Chaos damage over time Debuffs. TBC None required Bombards enemies that are afflicated by Chaos damage.

Earthquake Smashes the ground, dealing damage in an area and leaving behind Jagged Ground that slows enemies. The Jagged Ground erupts in a powerful Aftershock after a short duration. Earthshatter Slam the ground, sending out a fissure that deals area damage to enemies it passes under and thrusts a spike from the ground when it ends. Escape Shot Leap backwards and fire an arrow which can Chill or Freeze enemies around the location you escaped from. 11 Mana Bow 40% Attack Damage.

Essence Drain Fires a Projectile that applies a Chaos damage over time debuff when it hits. 10 Mana None required 7% Chance of Critical Strike.
Explosive Grenade Launcher Fire a bouncing grenade that unleashes a devastating blast when its fuse expires. 18 Mana Crossbow 285% Attack Damage.

Converts 20% of Physical Damage to Fire Damage.

Eye of Winter Fires a single Eye Projectile which does not hit enemies. The Eye constantly releases damaging shard Projectiles in a spiral as it flies, plus an extra burst of shards at the end of its flight. If the Eye passes over an Elemental Ground Effect, it will take on that effect, applying it to nearby enemies and causing shards to deal more damage of the corresponding type. 76 Mana None required 12% Chance of Critical Strike.

Falling Thunder Infuse a staff with electrical energies, then slam the ground to deal damage in a large area in front of you. Consumes any Power Charges you have to fire lightning projectiles fowards from the impact. 6 Mana Quarterstaff 147% Attack Damage.

Ferocious Roar Shapeshift into a bear and trigger Warcry skills. 14 Mana None required Socketed Skills deal 63% increased Damage.
Fireball Launches a large ball of Fire which explodes, firing a nova of smaller firebolts outwards on impact. 20 Mana None required 7% Chance of Critical Strike.
Firestorm Flamming bolts rain down over the targeted area. They explode when landing, dealing damage to nearby enemies. 41 Mana None required 7% Chance of Critical Strike.
Flame Wall Create a wall of Fire for a duration, which deals Burning damage to everything in its area. Each enemy that enters the wall also receives a secondary Burning debuff which presists for a short duration after leaving the wall. Any Projectiles fired through the wall by you and allies deal added fire damage and apply the wall’s secondary debuff on hit. 14 Mana None required Deals 1.2 Base Fire Damage per second.
Flameblast Channels to build up a large Fire Damage explosion around you, which is released when you stop using the skill. The longer you channel, the larger the area of effect and damage of the explosion, up to 10 stages. Flash Grenade Launcher Fire a bouncing grenade that unleashes a Blinding, Stunning explosion when its fuse expires. This explosion can Blind both Allies and Enemies. 15 Mana Crossbow 142% Attack Damage.

Fragmentation Rounds Load your Crossbow with Piercing bolts that fire in a burst. Bolts that hit a Frozen enemy or Ice Crystal consume the Freeze or shatter the Crystal and cause an explsion of shrapnel. 7 Mana Crossbow 50% Attack Damage. Knocks Back Enemies.
Frost Bomb Creates a Crystal that pulses with cold for a duration. Each pulse applies a debuff to nearby enemies for a secondary duration which reduces life and energy shield regeneration rate, and also inflicts Cold Exposure. When the crystal’s duration ends, it explodes, dealing heavy cold damage to enemies around it. 54 Mana None required 13% Chance of Critical Strike.

Deals 33 to 50 Cold Damage.

Frost Wall Creates a wall of Ice Crystals which holds back enemies. The wall will shatter if sufficiently damaged, or if pushed hard enough, dealing damage around the broken sections. 20 Mana None required Deals 21 to 32 Cold Damage.
Frostbolt Fires a slow-moving Piercing Projectile that leaves a wake of Chilled Ground, deals Cold damage and explodes on colliding with terrain. 11 Mana None required 12% Chance of Critical Strike.
Frozen Locus Leap backward and strike the ground with your staff to call forth an Ice Crystal, which creates Chilled Ground around it and can be damaged by you and your enemies. If the Crystal is destroyed it explodes, dealing damage based on how long it has existed for. 11 Mana Quarterstaff 100% Attack Damage.
Furious Slam Shapeshift into a bear and slam the ground with great force, causing a stunning shockwave that deals damage in a large area around you. 10 Mana None required 274% Attack Damage.

50 to 75 Added Attack Physical Damage.

Gas Arrow Rains an arrow down from above, creating a cloud of flammable poisonous gas where it lands. Any Burning effects or Detonator skills will explode the gas cloud, creating a fiery explosion. 14 Mana Bow 128% Attack Damage.
Glacial Cascade Sweep a Quarterstaff upwards, releasing a thin wave of frost that deals damage in a series of small bursts. The final burst of the wave then surges out further with a large spike of ice. Any Frozen enemies hit by the final burst also take another, more powerful hit. 17 Mana Quarterstaff 46% Attack Damage.
Hammer of the Gods Entreats the Ancestors to crush your enemies, manifesting a massive hammer that falls from the sky onto your target. 46 Mana Once Hand Mace, Two Hand Mace 1307% Attack Damage.

Ice Shards Loads your Crossbow with a clip of icy bolts that rapidly fire at the ground, leaving a shard of ice at impact location unless the bolt hits an enemy. Ice Spear Throw an icy copy of your spear that deals cold damage. After a short distance it arms, massively boosting its damage. When the spear breaks against an enemy it deals damage in a cone shaped area behind them. 10 Mana Spear 313% Attack Damage.

Ice Strike Perform a fast icy strike. The third time this Attack is used in sequence, it is slower and more powerful, covering a larger area. 8 Mana Quarterstaff 79% Attack Damage.
Impale Jump back from a target, dealing melee damage and attempting to immobilise them. Cannot be performed without targeting an enemy. 13 Mana Spear 128% Attack Damage.

Leap Slam Jump into the air, damaging and knocking back enemies with your mace where you lang. Enemies you would land on are pushed out of the way. 31 Mana Two Hand Mace, One Hand Mace 188% Attack Damage.
Lightning Arrow Fire a charged arrow at the target. On hitting an enemy or wall, the arrow will fire beams at nearby enemies, Chaining from them. 5 Mana Bow 70% Attack Damage.
Lightning Bolt Call down a shocking bolt of lightning to strike an enemy. TBC None required 9 to 172 Lightning Damage.
Lightning Conduit Calls down lightning to strike all enemies in a cone in front of you. Deals significantly more damage to Shocked enemies but removes Shock from them. 58 Mana None required 10% Chance of Critical Strike.
Lightning Rod Fire an arrow that drops from above, creating a lightning burst. The arrow remains in the ground, and any chaining lightning beams can chain to it. When chained to, the arrows release another lightning burst. 4 Mana Bow 28% Attack Damage.

Converts 100% of Physical Damage to Lightning Damage.

Lightning Storm Creates a lightning storm for a duration, which repeatedly strikes enemies in its area with shocking bolts. 44 Mana None required 9% Chance of Critical Strike.

Deal 1 to 19 Lightning Damage.

Lightning Warp Targets an enemy and teleports to them after a duration if they can be culled. Enemies around you that can be culled will be highlighted. When the teleport occurs the target is culled and explodes dealing Lightning Damage and creating Shocked Ground. Casting will queue up multiple teleportations to occur in sequence. TBC None required 13% Chance of Critical Strike.

Deals 4 to 75 Lightning Damage.

Lingering Illusion Creates a short-lived illusion copy yourself whenever you dodge roll. The copy can distract enemies, and copies that are destroyed by an enemy will grant you a Power Charge. Reservation: 30 Spirit. None required Illusions have 20% of your maximum Life.
Magma Barrier When you raise your Shield it is infused with magma for a short time. Blocking during this time will spray magma at the attacker and grant you an Endurance Charge. Reservation: 30 Spirit. Shield Raising your shield infuses it with magma for 0.25 seconds.
Mana Remnants Conjures surging lightning that causes Shocked Enemies you or your Minions kill to leave behind a Mana Remnant. Picking up a Mana Remnant grants you Mana, and can overcharge your Mana up to double its normal maximum. Reservation: 30 Spirit None required [DNT] Critical Hits against Shocked Enemies spawn a Mana Remnant.
Mana Tempest Create an arcane storm around you. The storm empowers your spells with lightning damage, while making lightning spell projectiles and beams able to hit more targets. The storm will drain your mana while you remain in it, and any spells you cast add to the mana drain. Leaving the storm will cause it to dissipate shortly after. 1% Mana per second None required Buff causes Spells to gain 58% of Damage as Extra Lightning Damage.
Maul Shapeshift into a bear and swipe with your claws. 3 Mana None required 165% Attack Damage.

8 to 11 Added Attack Physical Damage.

Oil Grenade Launcher Fire a bouncing grenade that releases a pool of oil and covers nearby enemies in oil after a delay. The oil can be ignited by Burning or Fire Areas. 41 Mana None required 75% Attack Damage.
Orb of Storms Creates a stationary electrical Orb that strikes enemies in its area of effect with beams of Lightning that can then split to hit more enemies. Pain Offering Impales a Skeleton on a bone spike to empower nearby Minions into a frenzy as long as the spike remains, causing them to use skills more quickly 10 Mana None required Aura grants Minions 38% more Damage.
Perfect Strike Charge up your weapon while channeling. Releasing the moment you fully charge will release a wave of fire. 10.52 Mana per second None required 121% Attack Damage.

Permafrost Bolts Loads your Crossbow with icy bolts that fire in a burst, damaging enemies on hit and in a small cone behind the target. The icy coating on the bolts makes them extremely potent at Freezing enemies. 6 Mana Crossbow 17% Attack Damage.

Converts 80% of Physical Damage to Cold Damage.

Poisonburst Arrow Fire an arrow that poisons enemies hit. When it lands, it creates a burst of poison, affecting all enemies around the arrow. 6 Mana Box 48% Attack Damage.
Power Offering Impales a Skeleton on a bone spike, extracting a Power Charge unless the spike is destroyed. 8 Mana None required Power Offering spike limit of 10.
Profane Ritual Marks a Corpse with a profane rune, dealing Chaos damage over time to nearby enemies. When the ritual is complete the Corpse is consumed and you gain a Power Charge. 12 Mana None required Deals Chaos damage over time to nearby enemies.
Puncture Lunge towards a target, dealing melee damage. This attack is more powerful when used at a distance. 13 Mana Spear 153% Attack Damage.

Raging Spirits Reserves Spirit. While active, your Fire Spells will also summon Rading Spirits, which are short-lived flaming skulls that rush at nearby enemies and rapidly Attack them. Enemies will not directly engage these Minions, and can pass through them. Reservation: 30 Spirit None required Minions from this skill convert 70% of Physical Damage to Fire Damage.
Rain of Arrows Fire arrows into the air, causing them to rain from above. Consumes your Frenzy Charges to fire more arrows. 25 Mana Bow 115% Attack Damage.
Raise Zombie Consumes a Corpse or Power Charge to create a Zombie. Zombies created from Power Charges are empowered for a long duration. 20 Mana None required Empowered Zombies deal 100% more Damage.
Rampage Shapeshift into a bear and rampage forward, slamming the ground as you run. The initial roar generates rage, then consumes rage until you run out. 46 Mana None required 183 to 286 Physical Damage.
Rapid Assault Performs a series of fast stabs. 11 Mana Spear 96% Attack Damage.
Rapid Shot Loads your Crossbow with a large clip of heavily modified bolts that cause Heat to build up on your crossbow, before unleashing a stream of flaming bolts that gain Fire Damage based on your Heat. Resonating Shield Repeatedly strike your Shield with your weapon causing damaging shockwaves in an area around you. Enemies hit by the shockwave lose Armour for a duration. Rolling Magma Throw a fiery orb that deals area damage as it hits the ground. The skill chains, bouncing forward to deal damage multiple times. The number of bounces is refreshed when passing through a Flame Wall. 12 Mana None required 7% Chance of Critical Strike.
Rolling Slam Slam the ground to Stun enemies and knock them away, then continue forward and perform a devastating second Slam. 48 Mana Two Hand Mace, One Hand Mace 188% Attack Damage.

All Support Gems

In Path of Exile 2, Support Gems offer a direct damage increase and incorporate unique prerequisites depending on their theme. For these gems to function effectively, they need to harmonize with the main Skill Gem they are attached to; otherwise, they cannot be inserted into your gear.
