All Relic Effects And How To Use Them In Elden Ring Nightreign

In the Elden Ring Nightreign, relics play a crucial role, turning this extraction-style game into something resembling a roguelike. To grow stronger each night and make progress, it’s essential to put forth your best effort in hunting and gathering as many relics as possible.

Initially, understanding the functions of relics and how to utilize them might seem complex and overwhelming due to the abundance of information. To help simplify this process, we’ve broken down all the elements for you, allowing for a more streamlined approach in mastering these vital components at a quicker pace.

What Are Relics?

Relics serve as items you can outfit onto your character before embarking on a nocturnal expedition. Once the gaming session begins, these relics remain unchangeable, but upon returning from the hunt, you may modify them again.

With the appropriate gear, relics may offer as many as three distinct abilities to your character. The capabilities they provide can vary significantly, and under regular conditions, the specific effects on a relic will be randomly determined when it is obtained by you.

There are three levels of Relics:

  • Delicate: One effect
  • Polished: Two effects
  • Grand: Three effects

It’s evident that the Relic levels dictate the number of impacts each artifact has on your persona. With a higher level, you’ll enjoy more effects.

Each Relic can have one of four colors:

  • Blue
  • Yellow
  • Green
  • Red

The colors of these items have no impact on the type of bonuses your character receives, as they are unrelated; instead, their significance lies solely in being able to attach them to your character.

Every figure will be given a cup, where the relics will be deposited. The cups will decide the color of relics you can have access to and the number as well.

List Of Relic Effects: Unique Relics

The effects of Relics are chosen at random from a collection, so it’s impractical to compile a comprehensive catalog detailing each Relic and its properties. Nonetheless, there exists a distinct group of Relics that consistently maintain the same effects.

Most of these relics fall into one of three categories:

  • Remembrance Relics
  • Nightlord Relics
  • Jar-Bought Relics

Although the purchased artifacts may not be particularly remarkable, we’ll detail the more notable Remembrance and Nightlord artifacts further down.

How Do I Get More Relics?

As a dedicated follower of the Nightlord, I gather relics by participating in his thrilling quests, and also by making purchases at the lively Small Jar Bazaar.

At the Small Jar Marketplace, simple purchases get you started, but it also provides an exclusive item called Scenic Flatstone. This purchase enables you to uncover new treasures, or Relics, at random.

Upon wrapping up a hunt, whether you manage to slay your Nightlord or meet an untimely demise, a selection of Relics will be awarded to you. These Relics are randomly chosen, yet certain significant aspects influence their generation.

  1. The further you progress and the stronger enemies you slay, the greater the number and rarity of Relics you will receive.
  2. First time clears of Nightlord runs will always give you the Nightlord’s unique Relic.

If you find yourself with too many Relics, you can sell them from the Relics menu at the altar.

How Do I Change My Chalices And Equip Relics?

Chalices can be acquired in one of two ways:

  1. Bought from the Small Jar Bazaar.
  2. Acquired as rewards for completing Remembrance quests.

Initially, the Small Jar Bazaar doesn’t provide a wide variety of items, but as your adventures deepen, it will start offering more goods. Specifically, once you have defeated Tricephalos, the Small Jar Bazaar will begin selling Chalices.

Whenever you acquire a fresh Chalice or Relic, you can make your way to the unique Relic Altar, which is positioned centrally within Roundtable Hold. This area, easily identifiable by its blue candles and draped curtains surrounding the table, serves as your destination.

Within, you have the freedom to pick a Nightfarer that suits you best, and also switch between Chalices or add new Relics at your convenience.

Inside, you can choose a Nightfarer that appeals to you and toggle between Chalices or outfit yourself with new Relics whenever you wish.

Within, you can select the Nightfarer you prefer and alternate between Chalices or acquire new Relics here.

Absolutely! It’s possible to store Relics within Chalices you aren’t actively using right now. But, keep in mind that only one Chalice can be active at a time during your quest. You’ll need to choose which Chalice you want to be operational for your hunt.
