All Overwatch 2 x G.I. Joe crossover skins

In the first season of Overwatch 2, we’re excited to announce a collaboration with G.I. Joe! This crossover will introduce character-inspired skins for our heroes, based on some of the most memorable figures from the G.I. Joe universe.

In the last few months, Overwatch has experienced several collaborations, including those with Street Fighter, Gundam Wing, and even the K-pop group Le Sserafim. As we move into Season 17, another collaboration is coming soon.

On this occasion, G.I. joins the ranks with a collection of skins, marking the initial entry of the renowned action figure series, known for its subsequent comic books, television programs, and films, into the gaming world.

In this post, we’ve gathered all the details we have about the upcoming event thus far. We’re also sharing who the participating characters will be.

When is G.I. Joe event in OW2?

The crossover event isn’t scheduled yet, however, it’s been confirmed that it will happen within the season currently airing, which is Season 17. Since the Season 18 update is expected in late August, we don’t have much longer to go before the crossover takes place.

Historically, major collaborations similar to this have been introduced during mid-season updates, roughly around July 22, 2025. But unlike previous instances, the Gundam Wing event deviated from this pattern by launching only a week into Season 16. Therefore, it’s possible that the upcoming collaboration might arrive earlier than expected.
