All maps and modes in Black Ops 6 Beta

As a seasoned gamer with over two decades under my belt, I can’t help but feel a surge of nostalgia when it comes to the announcement of Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Beta. The last time I felt this way was probably during the release of the original Black Ops, and now here we are, six iterations later!

The beta version of Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 runs from August 30th until September 9th, giving players a chance to test the game before deciding if they want to buy it. However, not every feature slated for the full release will be accessible during this period. Here’s a rundown of the maps and game modes you’ll find in the Black Ops 6 Beta.

Here are several overviews of the maps displayed above, including five Core 6v6 Maps and three Strike Maps. Strike Maps offer a compact design for intense gameplay action, particularly suited for 2v2 and Face Off 6v6 modes. You can catch a glimpse of gameplay on these maps from the CoD Next event stream featuring numerous creators trying out Black Ops 6 for the first time. Alternatively, you could wait until the Beta early access starting August 30 to experience them personally. Notably, some beloved Black Ops classic maps will be reintroduced with periodic updates as mentioned by one of the developers.

All game modes in Black Ops 6 Beta

Below is a list of all game modes featured in the Black Ops 6 Beta:

  • Kill Order (new mode): Protect your HVT and attack the other team’s HVT. Any elimination is counted as a point, but an elimination by an HVT is given more points.
  • Team Deathmatch: Eliminate opponents and the first team to hit the score limit wins.
  • Domination: Capture and hold three flags, earn points, and secure the win.
  • Hardpoint: Capture and hold the rotating zone, earn points, and secure the win.
  • Kill Confirmed: Eliminate opponents and collect their Dog Tags to earn points. Grabbing a friendly tag will deny a potential score to the enemies.

Keep in mind that this list might not be exhaustive, as additional game modes may be unveiled during the Beta. However, these are some of the traditional modes that have been featured annually in Call of Duty Betas. The developers of Black Ops 6 have hinted at some subtle but significant adjustments to the Core 6v6 modes. For example, they’re swapping flags for objective stands in Domination, and numbers have been incorporated into Hardpoint objectives to help players grasp the rotation sequence more easily.
