All Armor Crafting Recipes In Hytale

Okay, so in Hytale, your armor is super important. Seriously, it can be the difference between surviving a night or getting wrecked by a monster while you’re out exploring. Plus, it changes how your character looks, which is cool if you like playing in third person. I already know how to make the basic stuff, but there’s a ton of more powerful armor you can craft that’ll really help you take on tougher mobs.

This guide lists all the armor crafting recipes currently available in Hytale. Keep in mind that some armor you find in Creative mode might not yet be craftable in Survival mode, just like with the Hytale weapons guide.

How to craft armor in Hytale

In Hytale, your character can wear four pieces of armor: a helm, gauntlets, cuirass, and greaves. You’ll find slots for these items when you open your inventory. Currently, there isn’t a separate slot for boots, though that might change in a future update. There’s also a shield slot, but since shields aren’t technically armor, we won’t be including recipes for those.

Before you start making armor, you’ll need an Armorer’s Workbench. While all armor can be crafted on a basic workbench, better armor needs a tier two or tier three version. Check out our earlier guide to learn how to build and upgrade your workbench.

We’re hoping Hytale’s armor system gets more variety in the future. Currently, it works a lot like the weapon system – each type of armor has six different options. It would be great to see some of the really rare armor and weapons from Creative mode become available in Survival mode, but for now, this is what players have access to when they first start playing the early access version of Hytale.
