Actor Alan Ritchson is currently making a big impression on television with his role as Reacher. However, prepare for him to make an even bigger impact on the silver screen with an upcoming project that’s been compared to “Memento” and “Raiders of the Lost Ark.” This film, titled “Fortune,” is just one of several projects Ritchson has lined up at the moment. In addition to “Fortune,” he’s set to appear in four other films soon, including the sci-fi action thriller, “War Machine.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Ritchson is set to star in an upcoming adventure titled “Fortune,” with Jerry Bruckheimer also involved as producer. Neil Widener and Gavin James are writing the script, having recently achieved success from their work on the nearly billion-dollar hit, “A Minecraft Movie.” At present, details about the plot of “Fortune” are scarce, but it’s been compared to both “Memento” and “Raiders,” and is based on a short story by Widener and James.
Although the agreement is still pending, it appears that “Fortune” may soon become part of Skydance Productions’ roster. This company has a knack for producing successful films, with recent releases like “Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning”, “Top Gun: Maverick”, and “The Gorge”. Andrew Schneider will join Ritchson and Bruckheimer in their executive producer roles. They have previously collaborated on Guy Ritchie’s “The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare”.
