The Rohit Shetty cop universe has been an absolute rollercoaster ride, and the addition of this new installment promises to be nothing short of spectacular.
Phars Film has secured the international cinema distribution rights for “Singham Again,” an upcoming blockbuster film from Jio Studios, a content division of Reliance Industries Limited led by billionaire Mukesh Ambani. This action-packed suspense movie, directed by successful director Rohit Shetty, is expected to be one of the most significant Bollywood releases in 2024.
In this paragraph, we’re discussing the fifth installment in Shetty’s well-known cop series. This franchise originated from Hari’s 2010 Tamil movie “Singam,” featuring Suriya. The journey began with “Singham” (2011) and “Singham Returns” (2014), where the main character was Bajirao Singham, a straightforward DCP from Shivgarh, a town near the Goa-Maharashtra border. “Simmba” (2018) brought attention to Sangram “Simmba” Bhalerao, a morally questionable inspector hailing from Singham’s hometown. The series continued with “Sooryavanshi” (2021), introducing Akshay Kumar as Veer Sooryavanshi, another DCP character.
In the sequel “Singham Returns”, stars like Devgn, Singh, Kumar, Deepika Padukone, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Jackie Shroff, Tiger Shroff, and Arjun Kapoor make up an impressive lineup.
PHF and Moviegoers Entertainment are collaborating to release this movie in various countries worldwide, with the exception of the Middle East, where PHF will manage the distribution independently. Together, they aim to secure around 1,500 screens outside of India for the film’s screening.
The movie ‘Singham Returns’ is brought to you by Jio Studios, in collaboration with Rohit Shetty Picturez, Ajay Devgn Productions, Reliance Entertainment, and Madman Ventures. This production is spearheaded by Ajay Devgn, Jyoti Deshpande, and Rohit Shetty.
The film is due to release worldwide on Nov. 1, during the Diwali festival holiday frame.
