It seems that people are increasingly fascinated by a new ‘Twitch streamer’ who keeps showing up in their feeds, yet here’s the catch – she doesn’t exist in reality.
On the 24th of February, a video featuring a woman in a live-streaming room started trending on social media platforms. Upon initial viewing, the scene appears quite common, showing the ‘streamer’ chuckling and waving to her audience as she played a game.
In reality, the streamer isn’t authentic; she merely appears in these videos without a genuine presence on Twitch. Those who didn’t read the description might not realize this.
“She’s 100% AI-generated,” the creator wrote. “Welcome to the uncanny valley.”

AI ‘Twitch streamer’ goes viral
In recent times, the realm of streaming has transformed into a bustling frontier, fueled by advancements in Artificial Intelligence. This evolution has led to the creation of streams like “Claude Plays Pokemon” and entirely AI-driven VTubers such as “Neuro-sama.
While AI has undeniably provided numerous benefits, it’s also important to acknowledge its potential downsides, like the rise of deepfakes. For instance, many content creators, or streamers, have found themselves in compromising situations when their likeness was manipulated to produce inappropriate content.
Currently, a Twitch streamer powered by advanced artificial intelligence is causing quite a stir on social media platforms. This intriguing character, created by Jamian Gerard, was developed utilizing Google’s AI video model named Veo 2.
He mentioned that all he did was enhance sharpness in CapCut, and the correlation between the prompts, shots, and brands was remarkably consistent.
Absolutely, I concur with everything presented here. The dual gameplay screen and the hand-held aspect were points I had been expecting to be brought up. It’s quite fascinating how quickly someone would notice these details. 😄

A more detailed examination reveals several clues suggesting the video might be generated by an AI. These include the presence of a Secret Labs logo on the gaming chair, hand movements that seem unnatural, and the gameplay appearing on two screens.

He expressed that he wished he had done more, but chose not to in order to allow others to spot any potential flaws instead, he said. Reflecting on the future, he mused about encountering a fully autonomous AI streamer on platforms like Twitch or TikTok someday, and believes it’s only a matter of time before that happens.
Instead of adding more to this and risking others critiquing or finding imperfections, I chose to leave well enough alone. Admittedly, I often ponder if an entirely autonomous AI content creator might someday take over platforms like Twitch or TikTok. To be sure, it seems inevitable at some point in the future.

Absolutely, as we see AI VTubers becoming a reality today, it’s starting to seem increasingly possible that we could eventually have AI streamers that look completely lifelike, much like the one developed by Gerard.
Currently, you won’t see this “steamer” on mainstream streaming platforms, but keep in mind that it might unexpectedly appear on Twitch, engaging with chat and playing Call of Duty in the near future.
