AI on the Lot 2025 Moves to Culver City With Expanded Three Day Program

After the downtown L.A. event held last year, AI on the Lot is making its way to Culver City this time around with a broader, three-day schedule.

The first day starts on May 28th, packed with an all-AI workshop, technical demonstrations, interactive workshops, panel discussions, a startup exhibition, and a networking social event in the evening. On the second day, we have more workshops and a filmmaker showcase scheduled. Finally, on May 30th, we will screen AI-related films for half a day at the Culver Theater.

The first day of our event is on May 28th. It’s packed with an entire AI studio, tech demos, workshops, panel discussions, a startup expo, and a networking happy hour in the evening. On the second day, we have more workshops and a filmmaker showcase planned. Finally, on May 30th, we will screen AI films for half a day at the Culver Theater.

Two of this year’s keynote speakers are author Doug Shapiro and Rick Champagne, who leads NVIDIA’s media & entertainment industry strategy and marketing. Shapiro plans to talk about how patterns in media consumption from the past will influence the way generative AI alters future media production. Meanwhile, Champagne is expected to present a broad look at how AI is being utilized as a tool within the entertainment sector.

Or, more concisely:

Two keynote speakers this year are author Doug Shapiro and Rick Champagne from NVIDIA. Shapiro will discuss future media creation disruptions by generative AI in light of past media consumption trends, while Champagne will share how AI is used as a tool across the entertainment industry.

Logan Lawler, a member of Dell’s Max AI solutions team, is set to conduct a workshop focusing on the deployment of AI models and strategies for adapting to the shifts in workflows that artificial intelligence is bound to introduce.

In the ongoing saga of Hollywood, Artificial Intelligence is offering cost savings and innovative ideas that echo the pioneering spirit Samuel Goldwyn initiated when he launched his Culver City studio in 1919, and Cecil B. DeMille continued with his grand backlots in 1925,” stated Todd Terrazas, AI LA’s executive director and president. “This year, in the very heart of ‘Screenland,’ we will convene industry leaders to discuss how AI can support the development of sustainable Hollywood infrastructure for future generations. This will stimulate economic growth, generate new jobs locally, and inspire our collective creativity.

Tickets for AI on the Lot can be purchased on the event website.
