‘Agatha All Along’ Trailer Drops New Spooky Song and Murderous Coven of Evil Witches

As a movie critic who has spent countless hours immersed in the world of enchanting narratives and captivating performances, I must say that the trailer for “Agatha All Along” has left me spellbound! Having grown up on a steady diet of magical tales, the idea of a sequel to “WandaVision” featuring Kathryn Hahn’s delightfully wicked Agatha Harkness is nothing short of enchanting.

On Friday at the D23 Expo, the cast from Marvel’s “Agatha All Along” series revealed the second trailer for the upcoming sequel to “WandaVision,” and they also gave a live performance of the original tune that underscores the show, titled “The Witches‘ Road.”

As an ardent fan, I can’t help but express my excitement about the return of Kathryn Hahn as the riotously funny, spell-casting Agatha Harkness in “WandaVision”. At a recent performance at the Honda Center in Anaheim, she was accompanied by her fellow cast members Joe Locke, Patti LuPone, Sasheer Zamata, Ali Ahn, and Debra Jo Rupp. Together, they sang a captivating ballad penned by the award-winning duo, Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez. The song’s title is reminiscent of the enchanted pathway that, according to the series synopsis, presents a magical test of trials. Surviving these trials, the story goes, grants a witch what she lacks most. What an enticing prospect!

In the series “WandaVision,” Hahn’s character, Agnes, initially appears as a curious neighbor living in Westview, a town trapped within a continually changing TV show. Later, she is unmasked as Agatha, an ancient witch who has extended her lifespan through her magical prowess. In the “WandaVision” finale, Wanda overpowers Agatha and confiscates her powers, imprisoning her as Agnes within Westview. In the spin-off series “Agatha All Along,” Teen, played by Locke, frees Agatha from Wanda’s enchantment. Subsequently, Agatha forms a coven to embark on the Witches Road in an attempt to reclaim her magical abilities.

Jac Schaeffer, the main writer behind “WandaVision,” assumes the roles of executive producer and showrunner for the series “Agatha All Along.” The first couple of episodes will debut on Disney+ on September 18th.
