Hypetrain Digital and Sleepy Castle Studio have revealed that their game, Escape from Ever After, will be released on January 23, 2026, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam.
This adventure RPG was initially created as a Kickstarter project called Flynt Buckler Wakes the Sleepy Castle in December 2022, drawing inspiration from the Paper Mario series. You can try out a demo of the game on its Steam page now.

A new trailer for the upcoming RPG, Escape from Ever After, has been released, giving players a look at the game’s world, how it plays, and more. Inspired by the classic Paper Mario series, Escape from Ever After tells the story of a storybook hero who must fight back against a real-world corporation exploiting fairytales for cheap labor. The hero will need to work their way up the corporate ladder and unite other unhappy fairytale characters to take a stand. You can play Escape from Ever After on PC, Nintendo Switch, Xbox Series X/S, and PlayStation 5 starting January 23, 2026.
