The English-language series titled “Adolescence” has recently surpassed Season 4 of “Stranger Things” to become the second most-viewed series on Netflix.
Since its premiere on March 13, the U.K. limited series has amassed a total view count of 141.2 million as of June 1. In its first 91 days, Netflix tracks the popularity of each title and by this metric, “Stranger Things” Season 4 in 2022 had racked up 140.7 million views.
In the year of 2022 alone, the Netflix series “Wednesday” racked up an impressive 252.1 million views within its first 91 days. This number surpasses both “Adolescence” and “Stranger Things” Season 4’s initial viewings. If we expand our scope to include non-English titles, the South Korean drama “Squid Game” Season 1 takes the lead with an astounding 265.2 million views, while its second season ranks between “Wednesday” and “Adolescence,” boasting 192.6 million views.
