Adin Ross hits out at Twitch for unbanning Hasan after one day: “It’s crazy”

Adin Ross publicly criticized Twitch for maintaining his permanent ban, while quickly overturning Hasan’s suspension within a single day.

In 2023, Adin Ross faced a permanent ban from Twitch following an incident where he broadcasted an unmonitored Kick chat on the Amazon-controlled platform. This move didn’t sit well with many people, including the co-founders of Kick.

During March, Hasan stirred up debate with remarks he made regarding US Senator Rick Scott. Although he was temporarily banned from Twitch, the ban was lifted just one day later.

On March 5th, Adin Ross broadcasted a discussion on Kick about the recent upheaval, expressing his belief that he, together with several others, could potentially be reinstated on Twitch. He also confided in his dearest streaming companions, requesting their assistance.

Adin Ross praises streamers who demanded he be unbanned

As a gamer, I sensed that an unban was on the horizon. I genuinely believed it would happen. Unfortunately, I found myself banned from unmoderated chat for a grueling two-year period.

As stated by Ross, the primary motivation driving his desire to return to Twitch is deeply rooted in “passion” and the lack of opportunities for collaboration with creators who are not associated with Kick.

📣 Adin Ross recently disclosed that he reached out to 30 prominent Twitch streamers such as Kai Cenat, asking for public backing in his unban appeal. However, only xQc and FaZe Clan responded. This lack of response has left him feeling downhearted, as it’s now been two years since his permanent Twitch ban, which…

Hasan was temporarily banned for a day due to making a threat against a U.S. senator. Remarkably, he was reinstated the next day. Frankly, I find that astonishing; it’s hard to believe.

I woke up today to find xQc sharing news about Hasan’s unban, which led me to connect with some of the top influencers on Twitch. Notably, only a handful responded to my message.

Without delay, every member of the FaZe Clan reached out to me. It was touching for him to witness them pause their activities just to acknowledge me momentarily,” he shared, expressing admiration for their openness.

He went on to explain that he reached out to every streamer and clarified that he doesn’t expect anything for free from anyone. He mentioned his close friends who actually responded to him and listened to his request. Therefore, he publicly acknowledges that he respects them and appreciates their support, likely because they said something like ‘Free Adin’ and similar sentiments.

It’s hard to take a neutral stance here, but the question seems to be about why Adin Ross is still banned from an unmoderated chat after two years and whether it’s reasonable for him not to have been given another chance yet. This seems rather perplexing, doesn’t it?

On the other hand, Ross admitted that many individuals didn’t rally to his support, yet he sympathized with the possibility that fellow streamers could face repercussions for standing by him.

Over the past few weeks, I’ve been feeling quite low. I’ve been struggling, feeling down, having a lot of introspective thoughts and moments. Despite having so many blessings in my life, it can be hard not to focus on what I’m missing sometimes.

As a passionate admirer, it’s uncertain when Twitch might lift the two-year ban imposed on Adin; however, this decision has ignited strong critique from numerous individuals, including Bijan Tehrani, one of the founders of Kick.

In reaction to Hasan’s quick reinstatement, the manager of Kick alleged that Twitch CEO Dan Clancy selectively decides which users are allowed on the platform, implying that Ross was intentionally banned to inflict harm upon Kick.
