Adin Ross finally reveals $1m sponsor he lost over Doechii rant backlash

Adin Ross shared that a potential sponsorship deal valued at around $1 million fell through following the controversy caused by his heated exchange with Doechii, according to his disclosure.

In mid-May, Doechii gained widespread attention on the internet due to her unique fashion choices at the Met Gala. Notably known for her hit track ‘Anxiety’, she requested her assistants to shield her with umbrellas while she was changing costumes, so as to remain unseen.

The situation sparked a divide on various online platforms, as numerous individuals shared their perspectives. Adin Ross faced criticism after harshly criticizing the artist about it. “What an arrogant, uneducated, vile individual she is, mate. I’m not kidding, mate, avoid her music. …She’s simply awful,” he expressed.

Following the incident, the Kick streamer initially disclosed that significant sponsors pulled out due to his rant, though he didn’t name them at first. Recently, however, he has unveiled the identities of those who terminated their partnership with him.

Adin Ross claims he lost Sports Illustrated deal

Can you believe it? I was actually offered a deal by that same brand,” I shared, following Neon’s announcement about his Sports Illustrated sponsorship.

Correct! It’s interesting, I was given the same deal prior to being let go during the Doechii controversy. They had offered me a million dollars. And I’m curious, what was your compensation?

Ross asserted that his streaming companion likely received around “$15,000” in their agreement, implying it could potentially reach over “$100,” a suggestion they both found amusing when he brought up these amounts.

At first, it was speculated that the agreement he failed to secure was with a fashion label. However, this notion changed when Adin hinted that Nocta was the sole brand he was associated with.

It’s not surprising that he, as the potential first internet creator, wouldn’t be an exception when it comes to being profiled by Sports Illustrated. In fact, as recent as 2021, a special edition of Sports Illustrated was dedicated to FaZe Clan, which includes NFL quarterback Kyler Murray, showing that even athletes can make the cover.
