As a seasoned gamer with decades of gaming experience under my belt, I can’t help but feel a thrill of anticipation when it comes to Elsewhere Entertainment’s mysterious project. With a team boasting veterans from some of the most iconic franchises like The Last of Us, Uncharted, Cyberpunk, and Destiny, this is not just any ordinary studio.
As a fervent admirer, I can’t help but feel a thrill when I hear about Elsewhere Entertainment, Activision’s latest creative powerhouse. They’re on a hiring spree and expanding into uncharted territories, which makes me wonder if the enigmatic project they’ve been working on is gearing up for a grand reveal.
Somewhere new is launching a “fresh franchise” that features an original storyline, but at this point, few details about it have been disclosed. However, it’s worth mentioning that the studio, which until now only operated in Warsaw, Poland, has started advertising job openings in Malmö, Sweden.
Malmo is also home to Just Cause studio Avalanche and Star Wars Outlaws developer Massive. Hitman developer IO Interactive also has an office in the Swedish city.
In other locations, there are open positions available in multiple fields right now, but the job postings don’t provide many details. It seems that development is just beginning on this upcoming Activision game, and at this point, we have no information about its potential release date or platforms, including whether it will be exclusive to Xbox due to Activision being owned by Microsoft.
Hey there fellow gamers! Just wanted to share an update I stumbled upon. Contrary to what some might’ve thought, TopMob’s sources confirm Elsewhere isn’t cooking up another Call of Duty title. Instead, they’ve been stealthily developing a brand-new game – and we can hardly wait to find out more about it!
Investing in a new project outside the Call of Duty series represents a significant shift for Activision, given their recent focus on expanding the Call of Duty franchise. Interestingly, this new team is composed of veterans who have previously worked on hit games like The Last of Us, Uncharted, The Witcher, Cyberpunk 2077, Destiny, The Division, and Far Cry.
Since the release of Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice in 2019, Activision hasn’t launched a fresh, self-created game. Previously, they published Bungie’s Destiny series, but after that, Bungie regained control of the franchise and eventually got bought by Sony.
Elsewhere is Activision’s second studio in Poland, joining the Infinity Ward team in Krakow. Resources from Activision’s US teams are working with Elsewhere.
Regarding the Call of Duty series, it’s been announced that Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 will be released in October. Recently, its two-weekend public beta test concluded, offering gamers an initial experience with the multiplayer shooting game.
