Four potential Activision mobile games rumored but not yet confirmed – Guitar Hero Mobile, Call of Duty: Sniper, Call of Duty: Zombies Defender, and Crash Bandicoot Brawl – are reportedly incorporating artwork that gamers suspect is generated by artificial intelligence.
The news emerges mere days following Activision’s confession about incorporating AI-created elements in Black Ops 6. Furthermore, it seems questionable whether certain of these mobile games are actual, since only Guitar Hero Mobile has been verified on Activision’s official social media platforms.

It seems that ads for unlaunched games, allegedly, are being shown on Facebook and Instagram. These ads include a link to a survey, where gamers can express their thoughts about these upcoming games before they hit the market.
As a passionate gamer, I must admit that the latest Guitar Hero Mobile ad left me feeling quite perplexed. The artwork for this game presents an unusual quartet of guitarists, each wielding a bizarrely designed red instrument. Frankly, it’s not the fresh, innovative style I was expecting from Activision. Instead, it seems to embody the distinctive traits often associated with AI-generated art: blurry, unconventional shapes, and a lack of harmony among the assets.
It’s quite surprising to find out that some mobile games, such as Guitar Hero Mobile, Crash Bandicoot Brawl, and various Call Of Duty titles, seem to be unconfirmed by Activision. In fact, only Guitar Hero Mobile has an ad that can be seen beyond Facebook and Instagram ads, which raises questions about their authenticity.
Keen-eyed enthusiasts found a pre-launch webpage for Guitar Hero Mobile on Geeklab, a platform that assists developers in measuring player interest. According to Geeklab’s website, their purpose is to design app store pages before the apps are released, test product pages, research competitors, create assets, conduct surveys, run A/B tests, and improve app stores. When clicking “get” on the Guitar Hero Mobile page, players are directed to a survey, which is also hosted on Geeklab’s site.
As a gamer, I’ve noticed that there aren’t dedicated pages for Call Of Duty 1 & 2, Crash Bandicoot Brawl mobile game, or even Guitar Hero Mobile on Geeklab or Activision’s official website yet. However, it seems like these games, along with Guitar Hero Mobile, are frequently advertised on Facebook and Instagram, which are owned by Meta. Players also claim that the Guitar Hero Mobile page on Geeklab features AI-generated assets, with the guitarists and their instruments having an unusual shape. What’s more intriguing is that the speakers on the stage in these ads seem to be facing different directions simultaneously.
One player commented sarcastically on the Guitar Hero Mobile Instagram post, saying ‘Thank you,’ but not in a grateful way. They’re expressing that you’ve destroyed any potential enthusiasm they had for your games. This actually makes it easier for them to not buy or support your products.
When questioned about these advertisements and the alleged utilization of AI-created elements, Activision chose not to provide a comment.
