Indie sensation is collaborating with Chernin Entertainment on “Alter,” a project helmed by “Sputnik’s” Egor Abramenko, featuring rising stars Lily Collia in the cast and introducing Hudson Behling to the scene.
As a devoted cinephile, I’m thrilled to share that January Jones from “Mad Men,” David Krumholtz known for his role in “Oppenheimer,” and Kyle MacLachlan famous for his performance in “Fallout,” have joined the impressive cast of this upcoming production.
The movie, penned by Will Soodik known for “Westworld,” and inspired by a short tale by Philip Fracassi, is shrouded in secrecy regarding its plot. However, it’s classified as a horror genre that portrays the unexpectedly swift maturation experience of a young boy during the summer months.
A24 will handle global distribution.
Born in Russia, Abramenko is an acclaimed filmmaker known for his direction of commercials and music videos, collaborating with companies such as Google, BMW, Visa, Samsung, Danone, and Budweiser. His debut feature film, the sci-fi horror “Sputnik,” which was initially scheduled to make its world premiere at Tribeca Festival in 2020 and later be distributed widely across Russia by Sony, encountered unexpected disruptions due to the pandemic.
