A War Thunder Player Leaked Classified Military Info (Again)

It turns out that yet another War Thunder gamer has received a ban due to sharing confidential military details on the game’s main discussion platform. This is not an uncommon occurrence.

According to the UK Defense Journal, it was announced that a player had shared an unauthorized Naval Air Training and Operating Procedures Standardization manual (NATOPS) focusing on the AV-8B and TAV-8B Harriers, military aircraft used by the U.S. Navy and Marine Corps. After this classified document was published, the War Thunder community promptly removed the post and temporarily suspended the user’s account.

In the gaming world I inhabit, leaks aren’t exactly rare within War Thunder’s vibrant community. This is a thrilling free-to-play multiplayer game that lets us fly real-life military aircraft, command naval vessels, and drive authentic vehicles. Being a part of this game attracts enthusiasts who are well-versed in its intricate details since it showcases actual military hardware.

In the past, TopMob has covered instances of leaks similar to those in War Thunder. The UK Defense Journal suggests that these leaks have occurred at least nine times within War Thunder alone. Managing such situations appears to be a skill that the community managers of War Thunder have honed over time, as they seem quite adept at handling them now.

You can explore War Thunder directly if you wish! It’s accessible on personal computers, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Android devices.
