In light of the game being taken off the market due to Makea’s bankruptcy proceedings, Toikka is also discontinuing Supermoves’ multiplayer functions. This means players can no longer enjoy the multiplayer aspect and must play the game offline. Although the single-player mode will continue to work, a significant portion of the original game experience will become unavailable.

Due to the necessity of significantly reducing a significant portion of his own project, it’s no surprise that Toikka feels both irritated and disheartened. He expressed his hope that the story of Supermoves might stimulate broader discussions on preserving creative endeavors when the commercial entities supporting them cease operations. “For those passionate about digital conservation, autonomous development, or public research and development policies, I trust this incident serves as a catalyst for a more extensive dialogue,” he penned. “The time I spent developing the game alongside the talented team at Makea Games will remain a cherished memory in my heart forever.
