‘A Quiet Place: The Road Ahead’ Video Game Will Measure How Loud You Are With Your Controller’s Microphone

As an avid movie buff with a special affinity for horror and post-apocalyptic genres, I can hardly contain my excitement over the upcoming video game “A Quiet Place: The Road Ahead.” My heart still races from the nail-biting tension of the original films, and I’ve been eagerly awaiting a chance to step into that universe myself.

Listen up! The forthcoming game, “A Quiet Place: The Road Ahead”, offers an innovative method for players to be deeply engrossed within its world by incorporating a genuine sound-detection feature in real life.

In this solitary, terrifying video game reminiscent of the popular movie series “A Quiet Place” from Paramount Pictures, there’s an extra feature – you can choose to use a microphone. This enables the game’s dangerous creatures to detect any sounds produced by players.

The game titled by Saber Interactive and Stormind Games follows Alex, a young college student battling asthma, who’s trying to make it through an apocalypse with her boyfriend Martin. However, the terrifying monsters roaming the land aren’t the only danger she’ll face; navigating the remnants of civilization in search of a sanctuary for herself and her loved ones will also prove challenging.

Its gameplay involves hiding, distracting, and sneaking past the ultimate predatory creatures.

The latest addition to the post-apocalyptic horror series, titled ‘The Road Ahead’, was recently released. Its prequel, ‘A Quiet Place: Day One’, hit the screens earlier this year. Starring Lupita Nyong’o, it generated $53 million in domestic sales and has amassed over $260 million worldwide.

Work has begun on “A Quiet Place Part III,” and it’s anticipated to serve as a direct follow-up to the 2021 release, “Part II.” In this new installment, Emily Blunt will once again step into her character from the initial 2018 movie.

The game titled ‘A Quiet Place: The Road Ahead’ will be released on October 17, 2024, and can be played on Steam, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. Check out the new trailer featuring the microphone noise detection feature below:
