A Quiet Place 3 Update: Progress Finally Being Made

Four years have passed since the Silent Monster trilogy graced our screens, but luckily, news about the much-anticipated third installment of A Quiet Place has finally surfaced.

In 2018, the initial horror film astoundingly became a blockbuster sensation, raking in an impressive $340 million on a budget of merely $17 million. This instant success paved the way for more installments, and in 2021, A Quiet Place Part II continued the trend with similar box office triumphs.

Through the imaginative work of director John Krasinski, along with writers Bryan Woods and Scott Peck, the series swiftly amassed a dedicated fan base. Over time, a standalone prequel film titled “A Quiet Place: Day One” was produced in the year 2023.

Initially, it was planned that A Quiet Place would be a three-part series, but the third film hasn’t been released yet. However, this could soon change, as producer Brad Fuller has hinted at some exciting updates.

A Quiet Place 3 is currently being “put together”

At South by Southwest (SXSW), Fuller revealed updates about the forthcoming horror-sci-fi sequel and clarified that the project’s hold-up was due to the hectic timetable of director Krasinski.

He additionally made it clear that a third film is undoubtedly in the works, stating through Collider, “To set the record straight, Day One isn’t The Quiet Place 3.

We’re currently assembling “A Quiet Place 3”. When we made the initial film, John Krasinski wasn’t juggling many projects. Fresh from The Office, he was eager to transition into directing.

Currently, he’s extremely busy and in high demand, which makes securing him quite challenging. However, once he completes his current film project, we eagerly anticipate that he might focus on [A Quiet Place 3]. We all share a desire to conclude the trilogy, and I’m optimistic that there could be more Quiet Place movies beyond that.

The Quiet Place film series has proven to be financially successful for Paramount. To date, each of the three films in the franchise has generated over $900 million in box office sales. With a fourth movie on the horizon, there’s a strong possibility that it will propel the franchise into the billion-dollar earnings category.
