A new Elder Scrolls 6 trailer has reportedly been shown internally at Xbox, but we don’t get jack

For approximately 7 years now, there’s been an eager anticipation among fans for another taste of the captivating world of The Elder Scrolls 6, ever since its initial reveal at the long-discontinued E3 trade show. Since then, they’ve held their breath in excitement – or so an Argonian might say, “baited” breath – hoping for more tantalizing tidbits about this beloved series.

It’s been revealed that a trailer for the eagerly anticipated RPG might already be in existence, but we, the fans, are yet to catch a glimpse of it. As per the latest updates, Xbox executives have allegedly been given a full view of the upcoming RPG trailer, while we still patiently wait for its release.

As per Xbox insider and journalist Jez Corden, Bethesda Game Studios had ready a private trailer for The Elder Scrolls 6, which was intended for internal viewing at Microsoft/Xbox only. Unfortunately, this trailer has not been released to the public yet, despite the considerable anticipation from fans.

Following speculations that the game might debut during the latest Xbox Games Showcase, Corden clarified that he had merely been informed about the game’s internal demos at Microsoft. He assumed a public unveiling was imminent. Unfortunately, the final reveal during the show turned out to be just Black Ops 7.

For The Elder Scrolls 6, creating internal trailers during the game’s development isn’t something novel. In fact, it’s common practice for most games to produce several internal trailers at various stages. These videos serve multiple purposes: demonstrating progress, capturing the game’s ambiance, and providing a glimpse into the player experience that marketing can use to build anticipation.

Displaying a fresh trailer for The Elder Scrolls 6 could indicate that the game has reached a significant developmental stage, as Bethesda Game Studios shares advancements with their Xbox supervisors. Nevertheless, it may be some time before us, the eager public, have the opportunity to glimpse anything related to the game.

In addition to The Elder Scrolls 6, Bethesda is also working in tandem on a remastered version of Fallout 3, similar to their recent Oblivion Remastered project. Some former Fallout developers have expressed a desire for the new game to enhance the original’s combat mechanics, but it’s uncertain if these changes will be implemented. Moreover, there might be more content coming up for Starfield, which is quite amusing and I must say, I enjoy that title.

Looking forward to potentially acquiring a fresh Elder Scrolls game before time runs out for us, but we’ve got plenty to keep us busy in the meantime! The official Oblivion Remastered has already been released, and this year will see the completion of Skyblivion, a fan-made project. Furthermore, there’s always something new coming up in Elder Scrolls Online. Of course, ES6 is our ultimate wish, and here’s hoping it’ll be an unforgettable experience.
