A Guy Went And Saw Zootopia 2 50 Times, And The Director Responded

Zootopia 2 is the biggest Hollywood success of the year, proving incredibly popular with audiences. In fact, one fan seems to be particularly captivated – they claim to have watched it an amazing 50 times!

It’s not a shock that Zootopia 2 is doing so well, given the first Zootopia movie earned a billion dollars worldwide. While most people likely only saw the original film once or twice in theaters, one dedicated fan has seen Zootopia 2 an amazing 50 times! Jared Bush, the director of Zootopia 2 and Chief Creative Officer at Disney Animation, was so touched by this support that he shared a special behind-the-scenes clip as a thank you.

The video is quite funny! It shows that Byron Howard, the writer and co-director of Zootopia 2, actually provided the voice for Joel, the deer character in the therapy session scene. In this scene, Joel’s partner, Karen the badger, is strangling him, and the clip reveals how that moment was created. If you haven’t seen it yet, you can find the scene in the Zootopia 2 trailer.

This is a fun gift for a big fan – someone who’s seen Zootopia 2 a remarkable 50 times! Considering tickets usually cost around $10 each, he’s spent about $500 just on seeing this one movie. It’s great he’s being rewarded for being such a dedicated viewer.

It’s not uncommon for people to become really attached to certain movies and watch them repeatedly, but one person has taken it to an extreme. They’ve already seen this film dozens of times in just the 35 days it’s been in theaters – that’s more than once a day, on average! While I’ve re-watched a few movies in theaters, this is on a completely different level. I can’t imagine being so passionate about a single film.

It’s uncertain when the film’s theatrical run will end, and support from Jared Bush could extend it even further. While many movies at this stage are preparing for home video release, Disney is likely to keep Zootopia 2 in theaters as long as it continues to be profitable. It was the second highest-grossing movie domestically last weekend, giving audiences plenty of opportunity to see it in cinemas again.
