A fan has fixed Assassin’s Creed: Shadows’s problem that many gamers have complained about

Three weeks have passed since Assassin’s Creed: Shadows was released, and Ubisoft has made two updates (1.0.1 and 1.0.2) so far, addressing some of the game’s issues but not all. Remaining glitches were tackled by a modder named Lyall, who developed the ACShadowsFix modification.

The project offers several noteworthy features.:

  1. First and foremost, it removes the 30 FPS limit in cutscenes. It also allows users to enable frame generation on supported graphics cards. Many players had complained about the FPS cap in cutscenes, making this an easy-to-appreciate improvement.
  2. Additionally, the mod enables full ultrawide monitor support in cutscenes. In the standard version of the game, the image is cropped on both sides.
  3. ACShadowsFix also provides extensive customization for the field of view (FOV), offering far more flexibility than the game’s official menu.
  4. The creator also unlocked more advanced dynamic cloth physics, which the game engine supports but it’s not available in the settings menu for some reason. Ubisoft is likely holding off on officially enabling this feature until further refinement. In the first version of the mod, this effect was quite buggy, so in an update, Lyall had to set a fixed simulation frame rate to minimize issues.

This year on March 20th, I got my hands on “Assassin’s Creed: Shadows” for PC, Xbox Series X/S, and PlayStation 5. In just a week after its release, it managed to draw in over 3 million players worldwide! On Steam, the game has been met with overwhelmingly positive feedback, boasting an impressive 81% positive review rating.
