Sony Pictures has unveiled the preview for “A Grand, Vibrant Adventure,” an upcoming romantic movie featuring Margot Robbie and Colin Farrell in leading roles.
The movie titled “Kogonada’s Romance-Fantasy” is described as a creative story about two people who don’t know each other, according to its official summary. The main characters are played by Jodie Turner-Smith, Lily Rabe, Phoebe Waller-Bridge, and Hamish Linklater.
Kogonada is the director behind the sci-fi family drama “After Yang,” featuring Farrell and Turner-Smith, along with “Columbus” from 2017. He’s also responsible for the Apple TV+ series “Pachinko.” The script was penned by Seth Reiss, well-known for “The Menu.”

Farrell explained to Collider that the movie has elements of romance, but it’s not your average love story. It leans more towards magical realism, blending a familiar reality with surreal, whimsical scenes.

The executive producers are Ori Eisen, Gino Falsetto, Ilene Feldman, Kogonada, and Paul Mezey. In addition, Dan Friedkin, Ryan Friedkin, Youree Henley, Reiss, and Bradley Thomas act as the producers. Lastly, Noah Simon holds the position of associate producer.
Robbie’s first film role post ‘Barbie’ (2023) is in ‘A Big Bold Beautiful Journey.’ After that, she produced several films including Emerald Fennell’s ‘Saltburn,’ Megan Park’s ‘My Old Ass,’ and Jimmy Warden’s 2025 thriller ‘Borderline.’ In 2026, she will collaborate again with Fennell in the adaptation of ‘Wuthering Heights,’ where she will share screen space with Jacob Elordi from ‘Euphoria.’ Most recently, Farrell won a SAG Award for his portrayal of Oz Cobb in HBO’s ‘The Penguin.’
