George Clooney Confirms His Biggest Career Regret As Latest Movie Hits Netflix

Despite all the changes happening in Hollywood, George Clooney is still a major movie star. He’s won two Oscars and appeared in popular and critically acclaimed films like Fantastic Mr. Fox, Burn After Reading, From Dusk Till Dawn, and the original Ocean’s Eleven. While not every movie is a success, and he’s done a lot of commercials (especially for Nespresso!), Clooney understands that. He’s famously apologized for being in the poorly received Batman & Robin from 1997, and even after 28 years, he still feels bad about it.

George Clooney dislikes the movie Batman & Robin so much that he even jokes about it with his kids. He shared that his son once dressed up as Batman for Halloween, and when Clooney told him he was Batman in a movie, his son didn’t believe him. Clooney admitted the boy was right to be skeptical.

George Clooney’s Batman Has One A-List Fan

The movie Batman & Robin was a major disappointment, to say the least. Directed by Joel Schumacher and written by Akiva Goldsman, it featured a star-studded cast including Chris O’Donnell, Uma Thurman, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Alicia Silverstone, and Michael Gough. While it earned over $238 million globally, this wasn’t enough considering its $160 million budget. Both critics and viewers heavily criticized the film, resulting in very poor ratings: only 11% on Rotten Tomatoes from critics and 16% from audiences.

Despite being critically panned when it came out, Batman & Robin has unexpectedly gained a dedicated fanbase over the years. While most people don’t consider it a good movie, it’s become popular for being so bad it’s enjoyable – much like The Room or the films made by Neil Breen. Interestingly, one prominent fan is Robert Pattinson, who recently shared his experience auditioning for The Batman. He recalled trying on different Batman masks during the audition, including George Clooney’s, and surprisingly noted that Clooney’s mask smelled the best. We shared this amusing detail with George Clooney himself during an interview, and here’s what he had to say:

“Oh, you see, I have a good-smelling Bat-cowl, and I have great rubber nipples too.”
