Only five players remain in Squid Game: The Challenge Season 2! With the finale just around the corner, we’re looking at past performance and fan predictions to guess who will take home the prize.
The Netflix competition show is trickier to forecast than something like Physical: 100. That’s because winning Squid Game: The Challenge isn’t just about physical power, smarts, or how well players compete; other factors come into play.
While skill and strategy are important, success in the game often comes down to forming alliances and a bit of luck. One thing is certain: the stakes are incredibly high. The winner of Squid Game: The Challenge Season 2, just like in the first season, will win a massive $4.56 million prize.
Even though the last episode isn’t out until November 18th, we can try to predict what will happen and see which characters fans are hoping will win.
Squid Game: The Challenge Season 2 winner prediction

I’m putting my money on Perla Figuereo, Player 72, to win Squid Game: The Challenge Season 2! I really think she’s got what it takes to snag that $4.56 million prize.
Following the events of Episode 8, ‘Faith’, the five finalists are as follows:
- Player 17 (Agnes)
- Player 72 (Perla)
- Player 183 (Steven)
- Player 302 (Dajah)
- Player 398 (Trinity)
Every player has things they’re good at, and areas where they struggle, but Perla really shines. She’s not only great at making alliances, but she also plays the game with a lot of confidence and determination.
Perla is a 25-year-old model who studied Rhetoric, Film, and Screen Studies in college. Before modeling, she gained experience in a variety of roles, including positions at Fabletics, Deadline, the Cannes Film Festival, and JPMorgan Chase & Co.
Perla joined the Netflix show Squid Game: The Challenge alongside her brother, Jeffrey (player number 283). He was eliminated during the Marbles game, and this was just one instance highlighting the strong emotions that drove Perla’s strategy throughout the competition.
During the Slides and Ladders game, she became clearly upset when her teammate was eliminated, but she also showed she’s capable of making difficult choices to achieve victory.
Halfway through the game, she drew a card that forced her to send another team back to the beginning. Despite one player, number 183, being a nuisance, she strategically chose a team to send back, hoping to improve her own chances of winning.
She explained that she needs to block out distractions so she can think clearly when making important decisions.
Perla is also very skilled at building strong relationships. As the game nears its end, she still has two close allies, Dajah (Player 302) and Trinity (Player 398), who are both still competing. These aren’t just game-based connections – they’re built on real trust, which gives Perla a good chance of reaching the final round.

Right now, it’s just me and Dajah – Player 302 – in our alliance. We’ll only compete against each other if absolutely necessary, but otherwise, we’re working together.
I want Player 398 to succeed too. I really believe if he won, he’d use the money to do a lot of good.
I think Perla’s got a real advantage going into the finale. Everyone else is starting to freak out and just needs to win, but she’s still playing with a clear head and a reason for being there. That calm approach could be exactly what sets her apart.
Also, she’s been getting a lot more screen time lately – which is expected when fewer contestants remain. Interestingly, this mirrors the pattern we observed with the winner of Season 1.
If Perla stays calm during the last challenge, she has a good chance of winning the $4.56 million prize.
Netflix fans don’t want this player to win

Okay, so everyone’s got their predictions for who’s going to win, but there’s one player a lot of us are secretly hoping doesn’t win: Player 183, Steven. It’s nothing personal, but… yeah, a lot of people aren’t rooting for him to take the prize.
During the recent episode of Squid Game: The Challenge Season 2, he became more and more argumentative while playing Slides and Ladders, and even seemed to enjoy the distress of other players who were upset about eliminations.
He’s a professional poker player and has talked about winning big amounts of money. While you shouldn’t necessarily believe everything you see on television, it’s enough to make many viewers dislike him.
Someone posted on Reddit that they really dislike contestant 183 and were upset when he bragged to contestant 327 about winning a challenge. They’re hoping Perla or Dajah will win instead.

Someone else commented that they really didn’t want Steven, a wealthy poker player, to win. While they thought his actions against Perla during the ‘Slides and Ladders’ challenge were understandable, they felt he was still overly aggressive. They added that every reality show needs a villain, and he’s filling that role this season.
One person said they didn’t care who won as long as candidate 183 didn’t. However, others actually like 183, with one commenter saying they appreciate that he’s actively campaigning and providing entertainment.
People are predicting that contestant 017 will win, with one person commenting that she’s strategic and playing the game better than most. They also mentioned liking contestant 398.
People were hoping for competitor 398 to win, or really anyone except 183. One person said they were supporting 398 or 072, and added that 183 already has plenty of money and other ways to earn it, so they didn’t want to see him win.
Who won Season 1?

Mai Whelan, also known as Mother Mai, was the winner of Squid Game: The Challenge Season 1. While she acted like a mother figure to many of the contestants, she was fiercely competitive and willing to do whatever it took to win the challenges.
Since becoming globally famous and financially successful, Mai has dedicated herself to philanthropy, donating money and time to charities focused on wildlife, climate change, and helping those in need.
You can follow her Instagram and YouTube channels to stay updated on her charitable work.
The final episode of Squid Game: The Challenge Season 2 will be available on Netflix November 18th. Before then, you can find out how to apply for Season 3, learn the truth about the drama with the Mingle players, and see what other new shows are coming to Netflix this month.
