Dragami Games has pushed back the release of Lollipop Chainsaw on the Switch 2. Originally planned for November of this year, the game will now be available in early 2026.
The developer explained the delay happened because so many people requested a physical copy of the RePOP remaster. To ensure both the digital and physical versions launched at the same time, the studio decided to push back the release date for everything to 2026.
Dragami said they are very sorry for the long wait and any trouble it caused, and they thank you for your patience and support.
James Gunn, who now leads DC Studios and directed the new Superman movie, helped write the story for the video game Lollipop Chainsaw alongside Goichi Suda, known as Suda51. However, neither Gunn nor Suda51 worked on the game’s recent updated version.
Lollipop Chainsaw: RePOP was first released in 2024 on Xbox, PlayStation, and PC. This updated version features improved graphics and faster-paced combat. The game follows Juliet Starling, a cheerful high school student who also happens to be a zombie hunter.
As a huge Nintendo fan, I’m blown away by how well the Switch 2 is doing! It just flew past 10 million units sold, making it Nintendo’s fastest-selling console ever. And get this – it’s on track to become their all-time best-selling platform, even beating out the DS! It’s incredible to see.
