Next year, Refugium Games is releasing “Agefield High: Rock the School,” a game that sends players back to high school. While attending classes might be fun, the game really focuses on the off-campus adventures inspired by popular teen comedies from the early 2000s – the first trailer clearly shows the influence of movies like “American Pie.”
Okay, so in this game, you play as Sam Tatum, the new student at Agefield High. I quickly became friends with Kale Baines and this guy Axel Philly who’s really trying to be a rockstar. But, of course, there’s gotta be a rival, right? This jock named Seth is our main problem. From what I’ve seen in the trailer, you can either mess with him by pulling pranks, or just straight-up fight him to prove who rules the school. It looks like a lot of fun!
The game features traditional school subjects like English, math, German, music, and geography. However, you’re free to ditch class and roam a large, open world that extends beyond the school grounds. You can explore two neighborhoods, a town center, and the countryside. While the game encourages you to be rebellious, be careful! Teachers and police will pursue you if they catch you breaking the rules or skipping class.
So, Refugium Games is saying we’re looking at around 8 to 10 hours of gameplay, split between 32 main missions and 15 side ones. You’ll earn cash to customize your character – think clothes, hairstyles, tattoos – and even buy bikes and other cool stuff. They’re even including dirty magazines, because apparently no teen comedy is complete without them! Honestly, it’s giving me major Bully vibes, and we all know how long it’s been since we’ve gotten a new one of those.
You can now add Agefield High: Rock the School to your Steam wishlist! The developers at Refugium Games currently plan to release the game in the second quarter of 2026.
