Get ready for a massive watch party! One of the most beloved fantasy action series from the ’90s, One Piece, is coming to Netflix in HD this November. While it’s been available elsewhere – including free streaming on BBC iPlayer for UK fans and previously on Crunchyroll for US viewers – Netflix now offers the best viewing experience. You can already find a live-action version and the newest episodes streaming there. But whether you’re a longtime fan revisiting the adventure or a newcomer, Netflix has the high-definition remaster you’ve been waiting for – so prepare to set sail on the Grand Line!
Starting November 15th, Netflix will begin streaming remastered HD episodes of the popular anime series One Piece. The first major story arc, known as the “East Blue Saga” (based on the first 12 volumes of the manga), will be available later this month. The initial 16 episodes will launch on November 15th, with an additional 15 episodes arriving on December 15th and another 15 on January 15th. Originally, these HD episodes were only planned for Netflix France, but now viewers in the US will also be able to enjoy the beginning of One Piece in high definition.
One Piece began as a hugely popular manga created by Eiichiro Oda, and it has since become a global phenomenon with a massive fanbase. The anime, produced by Toei Animation, is famous for being incredibly long – it currently has over 1,140 episodes, and that number is expected to keep growing rapidly in the future.
‘One Piece’ Is Getting Another Anime

Netflix
I’m a huge One Piece fan, so you can imagine my surprise when I heard the news! I had just finished all 1,140+ episodes of the original anime and even watched the Netflix live-action series when I found out even more was coming. In 2024, WIT Studio – the team behind Attack on Titan and Vinland Saga – announced they’d be creating another anime adaptation. It’s wild because the original One Piece anime is still going strong after over 1,000 episodes, but now the manga is getting a second animated version!
While we don’t have a release date yet for WIT Studio’s anime adaptation of One Piece, it will be available exclusively on Netflix. Netflix will also soon release the second season of its live-action One Piece series. As many fans predicted, Xolo Maridueña (known for Blue Beetle) will play Ace in the anime. The second season of the live-action series is scheduled to premiere on Netflix on March 10, 2026.
