German Twitch streamer raises $3K for charity biking 300 km in 24 hrs

Twitch streamer Knirpz from Germany impressively biked 300 kilometers in under 24 hours, raising about $3,000 for charity in the process.

It’s common to see cyclists raising money for charity on Twitch, and one streamer is currently gaining a lot of attention for an incredibly impressive cycling challenge.

Knirpz is a German content creator who streams on YouTube and Twitch, and he’s popular for his ‘In Real Life’ videos. He loves outdoor activities like skiing, kayaking, and cycling, which he recently put to good use in a new project.

In November 2025, Knirpz partnered with other broadcasters for their yearly ‘Loot for the World’ charity event. Over the past decade, this event has impressively raised €3.5 million for organizations like World Animal Protection Society, breakfast4kids, and the Alzheimer Research Initiative, among others.

This charity event is very flexible, allowing streamers to fundraise in any way they choose. This year, Knirpz decided to bike for a full 24 hours, giving viewers the chance to donate to the charities supported by Loot for the World.

And there was more! Twitch pledged to donate $10 for every 10 kilometers he cycled. He aimed to break his personal best of 270 kilometers in 24 hours to raise as much money as possible for his stream.

On November 9th, Knirpz completed a total distance of 302.4 kilometers (about 186 miles), surpassing his previous record by 30 kilometers (18.6 miles).

Knirpz and his Twitch community raised $3,020 for Loot for the World through donations. This year, the funds will support several charities, including Stiftung Zukunft Wald, NCL Foundation, International Justice Mission Germany, Sentana Foundation, Civilfleet-Support, SOS Humanity, and Loot for the World’s emergency relief efforts.

People watching online were amazed by the streamer’s journey. One Reddit user commented, “That’s really impressive! Covering 300 kilometers in 24 hours is incredibly difficult without consistent long-distance training.”

“That’s roughly 190 miles. People on here pass out doing 190 miles in a car,” another joked.

Knirpz’s recent cycling attempt was remarkably impressive, coming in just shy of the world record for distance cycled in 24 hours. The current record, set in July 2021 by Austrian cyclist Christoph Strasser, is 1,026.215 kilometers (637.66 miles).

Knirpz is hosting a charity cycling stream, similar to events like CDawgVA’s Cyclethon. These streams feature English-speaking content creators based in Japan who cycle to raise money for charitable organizations.

This April, CDawg’s Cyclethon successfully raised over $1 million for the Immune Deficiency Foundation. The event aimed to increase awareness of the chronic illness experienced by his friend and fellow creator, IronMouse.
