Stephen Lang, known for his role in Don’t Breathe, thinks a third film is likely. He says everyone working on the project is actively trying to complete the story as a trilogy.
Stephen Lang is known for playing the villain in the Avatar films, and he’ll be taking on another antagonist role later this month in the upcoming action sequel, Sisu 2, also known as Sisu: Road to Revenge.
Between other roles, he starred as the villain in the 2016 horror film Don’t Breathe, and reprised the character with a slightly more heroic side in the 2021 sequel, Don’t Breathe 2.
He played a tough, no-nonsense blind army veteran in both movies, and fans have been hoping for a third film for a long time. We recently spoke with the actor to see if another installment might happen.
Stephen Lang on why it’s important to get Don’t Breathe 3 right

During a conversation with Stephen Lang about Sisu 2, TopMob also asked about Don’t Breathe, wondering if a third installment might be made.
“Yes,” Lang replied. When we asked for more details, he explained that while it’s still some time away and not guaranteed, he believes everyone is generally moving towards the same goal.
According to Lang, the key to success is completing the story as a proper three-part series.
Lang explains that many people want the next installment to fit within the existing framework, and it’s important to get it right. He feels the first one was flawless, and the second was excellent. Now, he hopes the third installment will bring everything together and complete the series, believing it’s achievable.

Following the release of Don’t Breathe 2, the writer and director, Rodo Sayagues, suggested a third film could bring back both Rocky, the main character from the first movie, and Norman Nordstrom (also known as the Blind Man), played by Stephen Lang.
According to Sayagues, the story isn’t finished. The first movie deliberately left things open-ended for both Norman and Rocky, as neither faced consequences for their actions. Specifically, Rocky got away with stealing a significant amount of money, and that loose end remains unresolved.
