Pokemon Go expands item bags for free after level update overloads trainers

After a recent update made it difficult for players to pick up new items in Pokémon Go, the game has added up to 400 extra storage spaces. The update was announced on November 5th on the game’s X (formerly Twitter) account.

Players are experiencing a positive change after many reported having too much stuff following the update on October 15th. This update increased the maximum level from 50 to 80 and changed how much experience was needed to level up.

With the new update, players earned rewards as they leveled up, and many received a large number of items – sometimes thousands – all at once.

Pokémon Go is thanking its Trainers by increasing the item storage capacity in everyone’s Item Bag! Players will now be able to hold an extra 400 items, with the upgrade automatically applied based on their current level. This change was announced on X (formerly Twitter).

Hello Trainers! As a thank you for being part of our community, we’ve increased the capacity of your Item Bag! Depending on your level, you can now carry up to 400 more items. Log in now to see your new item limit!

Trainers quickly filled up their item bags with the recent surge of Poke Balls, potions, and other items. This meant they couldn’t collect items from PokeStops or open gifts until they deleted some things, even if they’d already bought extra storage space.

Trainers now get more item storage automatically as they level up, so they can carry more without using coins. Just log in to see your increased storage space!
