Battlefield 6 Removes “Wicked Grin” Skin After Pushback From Players

Before and after its release, many Battlefield 6 players expressed a strong preference for avoiding the over-the-top character skins seen in Call of Duty. The developers promised a “gritty, realistic shooter” experience. However, after releasing a bright blue “Wicked Grin” skin, Battlefield Studios has removed it from the game’s available items.

Similar to how people reacted to the orange skin and a previously leaked outfit, the “Wicked Grin” outfit received mostly quick and negative feedback.

“[What do you mean?] That is classic naval camouflage, because of all that water. Just find a fountain and you are golden,” wrote one Reddit user. “LMAO this is not grounded and horrible looking,” added another fan. “Doesn’t even look cool. What a mess.”

Based on player feedback, Battlefield Studios brought back this outfit with more standard military colors, removing the lighter blue tones. Battlefield 6’s Season 1 battle pass also added several new cosmetic items.

Battlefield 6 is getting a new mode called Casual Breakthrough. It lets players earn experience points for their career, weapons, and Battle Pass, as well as progress in challenges. Each match will have 16 players and 32 computer-controlled opponents (bots). However, the new Blackwell Fields map has received criticism from players who say it heavily favors snipers.

Players are enjoying the free-to-play battle royale mode in Battlefield, called Redsec. TopMob has created a guide with seven essential tips for both new and experienced players to help them get started.
