Metal Gear Solid Delta 3’s Fox Hunt Mode Is Live With New Update

After a 13-year wait since the original Metal Gear Online was discontinued, a new multiplayer experience is now available with an update to Metal Gear Solid Delta 3: Snake Eater. Konami has launched “Fox Hunt,” a mode where players compete against each other in intense, winner-takes-all matches. A new trailer showcasing Fox Hunt’s features has also been released to mark the launch.

The game’s trailer shows players can use advanced camouflage to blend into their surroundings, and both teams have this ability. To further confuse opponents, players can also deploy decoys to create distractions and make enemies think they’ve been ambushed.

Fox Hunt features two online modes for up to 12 players. In Survival Capture, players try to catch Kerotan frogs during a challenging, multi-stage mission. The longer a match goes on, the fewer frogs are left to find.

Survival Intrude is the second game mode, where players fight to capture and control areas. Similar to the first mode, fewer areas will be available as the match progresses.

Fox Hunt doesn’t allow players on different devices to play together. However, friends who are using the same console can create private games to enjoy with each other.

By early September, Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater had sold over a million copies. Konami recently released an update to fix bugs and added an option to invert the camera controls. While Konami has confirmed that Metal Gear Solid Master Collection Vol. 2 is still being developed, they haven’t announced when it will be released or what games it will feature.
