Do you ever feel uneasy about the intense violence in many modern video games, like Call of Duty and Battlefield 6? Fortunately, Battlefield 6 allows players to experience the game with very little killing. In fact, one player recently achieved a score of over one million points with just eight kills, proving it’s possible to succeed without relying on violence.
I’ve been watching this player, ThatFriendlyGuyTTV, in Battlefield 6, and he’s seriously amazing as a medic! I mean, he’s already revived over 5,000 people in online lobbies – it’s incredible. He pretty much ignores tanks and guns, and just runs around making sure everyone gets back on their feet. He’s always the first one to reach a downed teammate, which is awesome!
He recently shared on Reddit that he enjoys completing games without eliminating other players, just to see if it can be done. He’s made impressive progress, reaching level 42 in just 25 hours of gameplay. He consistently ranks among the top 5 players, has revived teammates 47 times in a single game, and spends 40.6% of his time completing objectives – putting him in the top 0.2% of all players.
I wasn’t really told exactly who those eight guys were that I took down, but it seemed like they might have been enemies trying to finish off the people I was protecting. It was a messy fight, and honestly, I didn’t have time to ask questions!
It’s become increasingly common for players to try completing multiplayer games without fighting. This ‘pacifist’ approach—where players hide or avoid all combat for as long as possible—has been seen in popular games like Call of Duty: Warzone and Fortnite.
ThatFriendlyGuyTTV has the potential to create a compelling Battlefield 6 adaptation of Hacksaw Ridge, the true story of Desmond Doss. Doss was a courageous American medic who rescued 75 soldiers during the Battle of Okinawa, all without ever using a weapon.
