Alright, so I fired up Madden 26 to see who the game thinks will win in Week 8 of the NFL season. Last week, Madden was surprisingly on point, going 12 and 3 with its predictions! Overall, it’s done pretty well this season, predicting 67 games correctly out of 108 since Week 1. I’m curious to see if it can keep up the good work, so I’m running a full simulation of every game this weekend on Madden 26. Let’s see what happens!

Los Angeles extended their lead with a field goal, before Carson Wentz guided the Vikings down the field for their first touchdown of the game – a reception by Justin Jefferson.
The Chargers trailed 13-10 at halftime, but Ladd McConkey scored a touchdown, putting them back in the lead. Minnesota could only manage a field goal in response, so the Chargers maintained their lead.
The Chargers increased their lead with a five-yard touchdown pass from Justin Herbert to Keenan Allen. However, the Vikings had a chance to tie the game and force overtime. Although Jordan Addison caught a touchdown with only 1:14 remaining, a two-point conversion attempt by Jordan Mason was unsuccessful.
The Chargers recovered the Onside kick and the rest was history.

The Atlanta Falcons stay alive in the NFC South race with a win over the Dolphins.
Neither team played well on offense, but Atlanta managed to score two touchdowns while Miami was limited to just three field goals. Miami’s offense stalled completely in the fourth quarter, and despite their field goals keeping the game competitive, they ultimately lost.
Atlanta sealed the victory when Bijan Robinson ran for a 25-yard touchdown, increasing their lead to 20-9. Despite having seven minutes remaining, the Dolphins’ offense couldn’t manage to score any points.

Joe Flacco and the Bengals win their second game in a row as they keep the Jets winless.
Cincinnati quickly built a 17-3 lead after running back Chase Brown scored a touchdown from one yard out. The Jets, led by quarterback Tyrod Taylor, could only manage a second field goal and struggled to move the ball down the field.
Cincinnati extended their lead with two more field goals before the Jets finally scored a touchdown late in the fourth quarter. However, it wasn’t enough for the Jets to catch up to the Bengals, who were playing well.

Drake Maye led the New England Patriots to a comfortable win over the Cleveland Browns, keeping them in first place in the AFC East.
Man, the Patriots came out firing! They jumped ahead 14-0 pretty quickly thanks to two touchdown passes from Drake Maye, one of them to Hunter Henry. It took a while, but the Browns finally got on the board with a field goal just before halftime. But then the Patriots just kept rolling – Rhamondre Stevenson broke off a 17-yard run to add to their lead.
Trailing 21-6, Browns quarterback Gabriel drove his team downfield to the Patriots’ 16-yard line, but then threw an interception. Christian Gonzales returned the intercepted pass for a 90-yard touchdown, giving the Patriots a 6-2 record.

The Philadelphia Eagles defeat the New York Giants in the final seconds of regulation.
The Giants got off to a quick start, leading 14-3 early in the game. However, the Eagles fought back, scoring 17 consecutive points before halftime. Key plays included a 37-yard touchdown run by Saquon Barkley and a 21-yard touchdown catch by Dallas Goedert. A 54-yard field goal by Jake Elliott finished the half, giving the Eagles a 20-14 lead.
The third quarter saw both teams kicking field goals, but play remained fairly even. The Giants briefly regained the lead when Cam Skattebo ran for a touchdown, but the Eagles quickly answered with a field goal of their own, moving ahead 26-24.
The Giants scored a field goal in the final five minutes, bringing the score to 27-26. Philadelphia still had one timeout, but only 37 seconds left to try and score. Luckily, a 38-yard catch by A.J. Brown moved them into the Giants’ territory. Then, with no time remaining on the clock, Jake Elliott kicked a 49-yard field goal to win the game.

The Bills dominated the third quarter, starting with a 62-yard touchdown run by James Cook. Josh Allen then added another touchdown on a short, five-yard run after the opposing team quickly failed to advance. Buffalo went into the fourth quarter with a comfortable 24-10 lead.
The Panthers narrowed the gap with a touchdown run by Rico Dowdle, but the Bills responded with a field goal to maintain their lead. Despite this, Carolina managed to score another field goal, bringing the score to 27-17. However, the Bills then slowly worked their way down the field and added another field goal of their own.
Down 30-20 with just a minute remaining, the Panthers were unable to come back.
Chicago Bears at Baltimore Ravens – NFL Week 8 Predictions According to Madden 26
TEAM | 1st Quarter | 2nd Quarter | 3rd Quarter | 4th Quarter | FINAL |

The Chicago Bears started strong, scoring 13 points before the Ravens finally responded with a touchdown by Derrick Henry. After Chicago added another field goal, Lamar Jackson connected with Mark Andrews for a touchdown, bringing the score to 16-14.
Chicago then added ten more points, highlighted by a touchdown catch from Rome Odunze. They had a chance to extend their lead with a field goal early in the fourth quarter, but the miss proved costly as the game went on.
Baltimore capitalized on this opportunity and rallied to take the lead. Lamar Jackson threw two more touchdown passes – one to Zay Flowers and another to Mark Andrews, his second of the game. That final touchdown came with only 1:39 remaining, but Chicago couldn’t convert on a crucial fourth down at their own 32-yard line.
San Francisco 49ers at Houston Texans – NFL Week 8 Predictions According to Madden 26
TEAM | 1st Quarter | 2nd Quarter | 3rd Quarter | 4th Quarter | FINAL |
SF | 0 | 3 | 7 | 7 | 17 |

Mac Jones continues to keep the 49ers’ season alive as the 49ers beat the Texans.
Houston jumped to a 6-0 lead thanks to two field goals in the first quarter. San Francisco’s offense had a slow start, and they only scored once before halftime.
The 49ers’ situation became more difficult when Nick Chubb scored a touchdown from one yard out in the third quarter. Trailing 13-3, the 49ers responded with a scoring drive of their own, capped off by a 12-yard touchdown pass from Jones to Jauan Jennings.
Houston increased their advantage with a field goal, leaving 5:53 on the clock. However, that gave San Francisco enough time to mount a drive, culminating in a second touchdown pass from Mac Jones to Christian McCaffrey with 1:39 remaining.
With just over a minute remaining, the Texans had an opportunity to win the game with a field goal. However, Stroud’s pass on fourth down fell incomplete at their own 42-yard line, ending their chances and the game.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers at New Orleans Saints – NFL Week 8 Predictions According to Madden 26
TEAM | 1st Quarter | 2nd Quarter | 3rd Quarter | 4th Quarter | FINAL |
TB | 7 | 3 | 7 | 7 | 24 |
NO | 7 | 7 | 0 | 7 | 21 |
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers bounce from their Week 7 loss with a win over their divisional rival.
Okay, so the game started great – Rattler hit Olave for a touchdown right away! But then the Buccaneers came back with ten points, including a touchdown run by Rachaad White. I thought that might be it for the half, but then Alvin Kamara just broke loose for a 13-yard touchdown run before time ran out. What a way to end the half!
The Buccaneers were behind 14-10 in the third quarter, but regained the lead when Emeka Egbuka caught a touchdown pass, making the score 17-10. They effectively sealed the win when Tez Johnson scored a touchdown with 3:32 remaining in the fourth quarter.
New Orleans scored a touchdown with less than a minute left, bringing the score closer. Unfortunately, they couldn’t regain possession after the kickoff, and the Buccaneers won the game.
Dallas Cowboys at Denver Broncos – NFL Week 8 Predictions According to Madden 26
TEAM | 1st Quarter | 2nd Quarter | 3rd Quarter | 4th Quarter | FINAL |
DAL | 7 | 14 | 3 | 7 | 31 |
DEN | 7 | 10 | 7 | 10 | 34 |
The Denver Broncos beat another NFC East team in the final minutes of the game.
The Dallas offense played well, with Dak Prescott throwing for three touchdowns and Javonte Williams adding another on the ground. They largely controlled the first half, scoring three touchdowns, including a 24-yard reception by George Pickens.
Denver played a strong game, with quarterback Bo Nix leading the way. He threw for four touchdowns against Dallas, and each one covered 15 yards or more.
With the score tied 24-24 late in the fourth quarter, Dak Prescott threw a touchdown pass to Jake Ferguson, giving the Cowboys the lead. However, Bo Nix quickly answered with a touchdown pass to Courtland Sutton, his second of the game. After the Cowboys were forced to punt with 1:55 remaining, the Broncos had enough time to move down the field.
A penalty against Dallas on second down gave Denver good field position at the Cowboys’ 28-yard line. Denver then ran the clock down and kicked a field goal to win the game.
Tennessee Titans at Indianapolis Colts – NFL Week 8 Predictions According to Madden 26
TEAM | 1st Quarter | 2nd Quarter | 3rd Quarter | 4th Quarter | FINAL |
TEN | 0 | 0 | 7 | 0 | 7 |
IND | 14 | 17 | 3 | 0 | 34 |
The Indianapolis Colts wasted no time as they crushed the Titans with ease.
Jonathan Taylor had a great game, scoring three touchdowns and running for 128 yards. The Colts’ defense also played a huge role, with DeForest Buckner sacking the Titans’ rookie quarterback, Cam Ward, and causing a fumble that Zaire Franklin recovered for a touchdown. Indianapolis dominated the first half, taking a commanding 31-0 lead.
Okay, so the Colts really started leaning on the run game in the second half. They even gave a lot of carries to their backup running back, Ameer Abdullah – he ended up with 41 yards on 10 attempts. Surprisingly, Daniel Jones even chipped in with a couple of runs for 26 yards! We managed to kick another field goal, but after that, the offense just stalled and we couldn’t put any more points on the board.
Tennessee scored only one touchdown during the game, a passing play from Ward to Gunnar Helm. However, Ward also threw an interception, and the Colts won, improving their record to 7-1.
Green Bay Packers at Pittsburgh Steelers – NFL Week 8 Predictions According to Madden 26
TEAM | 1st Quarter | 2nd Quarter | 3rd Quarter | 4th Quarter | FINAL |
GB | 7 | 7 | 3 | 7 | 24 |
PIT | 7 | 0 | 7 | 14 | 28 |
Aaron Rodgers defeats his former team as the Steelers stay atop the AFC North.
The game was tight throughout, with neither team able to pull ahead by more than a few points. By the end of the third quarter, Green Bay had edged into a 17-14 lead.
Man, the game was insane! Pittsburgh finally took the lead when Rodgers hit D.K. Metcalf with a 20-yard touchdown pass – 21-17! But then, just like that, Josh Jacobs ran it in for an 11-yard TD, putting them back on top. Still, we had about six minutes left to try and pull out a win.
With just 3:22 remaining, Steelers running back Jaylen Warren scored a touchdown on a 16-yard run. The Packers had two opportunities to respond, but their final drive ended with an incomplete pass from Jordan Love to Romeo Doubs with only 26 seconds left, sealing their defeat.
Washington Commanders at Kansas City Chiefs – NFL Week 8 Predictions According to Madden 26
TEAM | 1st Quarter | 2nd Quarter | 3rd Quarter | 4th Quarter | FINAL |
WAS | 0 | 7 | 0 | 10 | 17 |
KC | 10 | 3 | 7 | 7 | 27 |
The Kansas City Chiefs keep their win streak alive with a win over the Commanders.
The Chiefs started strong, quickly taking a 10-0 lead. Wide receiver Rashee Rice had a fantastic game, with 7 receptions for 143 yards and two touchdowns. However, Washington fought back, and Marcus Mariota scored a touchdown on a run during the second quarter.
As a Chiefs fan, I was thrilled when Rice scored another touchdown in the third quarter! It was a little strange they didn’t try for the two-point conversion, bringing the score to 20-7. But honestly, the Commanders started making a run at it, scoring ten points straight, including a touchdown run by Jacory Croskey-Meritt, which definitely made me nervous!
Okay, so we were only up by three, 20-17, and things were getting tense. Luckily, Isiah Pacheco punched it in from the one-yard line right before the two-minute warning, and that was basically game over. It gave us the breathing room we needed to finally lock in the win!
That concludes our look at the Week 8 NFL results as predicted by Madden 26. We hope you enjoyed the recap, and we’re excited to see how accurate the game’s predictions turn out to be. No matter what happens, it’s always fun to see what surprising outcomes Madden forecasts!
