By Azura, Oblivion Remastered Has Surpassed 9 Million Players

Bethesda Game Studios expresses gratitude to its 9 million players for exploring The Elder Scrolls VI: Oblivion Remastered. This significant achievement was reached less than four months after the RPG’s release on April 22nd. It is noteworthy that the game simultaneously launched unexpectedly on Game Pass for PC and Xbox Series X|S, as well as digital versions on PS5.

BlueSky recently published a post about the achievement for Oblivion Remastered, which was developed by Virtuos. Bethesda added in their announcement: “Thank you for joining us in our worlds.” The game was initially released in 2006 on both PC and Xbox 360. Unfortunately, Virtuos, the studio responsible for this remastered version, had to undergo a significant round of layoffs earlier this month, including employees at their French office who worked on Oblivion Remastered.

To all who shone as a hero of Kvatch, achieved Arch-Mage status, climbed to Grand Champion rank, expelled the Blackwood Company, lived the life of the Gray Fox, and tuned into the Night… Thank you for joining us in our realms. 🤍 [Image or Embed]
