SmileBoom has disclosed that Makoto Kedouin, a renowned Japanese video game developer famous for creating Corpse Party, is currently developing a new project utilizing SmileBoom’s RPG Developer Bakin. Prior to the release of this sample game, they are also progressively publishing development blog articles, which include interviews with the creator. The first article can already be found online.
To jog your memory, Corpse Party initially sprang from a role-playing game creation software. The original version was crafted by Kedouin using RPG Maker Dante98 back in 1996, which was later released for PC-9800 computers. Subsequent developments and releases of the game were handled by Kedouin’s team on Windows PC and feature phones. Eventually, 5pb Games stepped in to help produce console versions of the subsequent Corpse Party releases.
As a gamer, I’m excited to share that the role-playing game (RPG) I’ve been eagerly anticipating, Bakin, is now accessible through Steam in its Early Access phase. However, mark your calendars for August 28th, because that’s when the full version will be officially released!
A renowned video game creator named KEDOUIN, famous for his hit horror game “Corpse Party,” has started a fresh project where he’ll develop a new game using Bakin software over an extended period. This development phase will be chronicled in a blog series called “Made with RPG Developer Bakin,” which will be posted incrementally on the official Bakin website.
As KEDOUIN works through creating this small sample game, the blog will offer behind-the-scenes insights, new findings, and creative strategies from a seasoned developer’s point of view—all while delving into and mastering the potential of Bakin.
