Lately, they have vocally shared their discontent over the redesigned Quidditch uniforms, finding the new look unappealing. In fact, they’re urging the creators of the Harry Potter series on HBO Max to avoid repeating this mistake and steer clear of a similar design. Their unease arises from the likeness between the Hogwarts uniforms in the TV show and those in the movies, but there’s nothing inherently wrong with that.

Fans seem to prefer the Quidditch uniforms from Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone over the ones introduced in Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. While the latter were designed for practicality and sport, they didn’t meet the expectations of some viewers who desired a more magical and atmospheric look, as seen in the wizarding world where extravagant clothing is commonplace.

They are seeking a Harry Potter TV series that is either quite similar to, or significantly different from, existing adaptations, using Vladislav Pantic’s fan design as a potential inspiration.

It’s undeniable that the homemade costumes for these characters are quite convincing – they seem both functional for the high-speed broomstick flights and immersive in terms of creating an authentic Quidditch atmosphere. Given that players need to move swiftly on their brooms, regular clothing like coats and capes could be problematic during fast-paced games. Also, considering Quidditch’s rough nature, it makes sense for the costumes to incorporate protective gear.

In 2027, at the earliest, we’ll discover what the makers of the Harry Potter TV series have planned, as that’s when it’s scheduled to premiere on HBO and HBO Max.
