In Season 4 of Invincible, it’s been verified that a Dinosaurs will make an appearance, and for those who haven’t delved into the comics, be ready to experience one of its most jaw-dropping scenes.
We’re still only midway through the narrative of Invincible, as Season 3 concluded at Issue #65. Conquest found himself imprisoned in a metal cage (a blunder, indeed), while Mark was healing from his wounds, and Rus Livingston and the Sequids were secretly biding their time underground, preparing to attack.
In a potential turning point, the fourth season may delve into the significant events of the Viltrumite War and introduce Thragg, a formidable antagonist for our story. Although Kirkman hasn’t announced who will portray him, fans are hopeful that he could be an actor from The Walking Dead.
In the upcoming stages of the tale, Dinosaurus, voiced by the talented Matthew Rhys known for his roles in The Americans and Perry Mason, will enter the scene. If the series stays true to the original comics, the events that unfold promise to be quite… volatile. Hereafter, potential spoilers!
Dinosaurus is behind one of the most shocking moments in Invincible
For those not familiar, Dinosaurus serves as the ominous, monstrous version of David Anders. In his ordinary state, David is just like any other person, but when he transforms into Dinosaurus, things become dangerous. Despite his immense intelligence, Dinosaurus has an insatiable desire to use it for humanity’s advantage – however, there’s always a heavy price to pay.
In Issue #80, Eve is informed that a large, red individual is causing chaos in Las Vegas. Mark rushes to the scene to intervene, yet Dinosaurus expresses reluctance to engage in combat; instead, he requests Mark’s assistance in evacuating the city.
This city feels unnatural and out of place, like it doesn’t belong on Earth. It seems almost as if it was artificially created amidst the vast, untouched desert landscape. Soon, all that remains of it will just be a fading memory.
This city is consuming natural resources at an extraordinary rate, leading to concerns about the Colorado River running dry. The current state of this region suggests it’s struggling to maintain its own balance. Interestingly, if this area were transformed, it could potentially host a vast solar power station capable of generating enough clean energy to power our country, reducing our reliance on fossil fuels.
Mark rejects and swiftly discovers a bomb, however, by then Dinosaur has secreted away 50 explosives throughout the urban landscape, making it impossible for Mark to locate all of them in time before they explode.
Dinosaurus expresses that he also intended to leave, yet there’s a lot of good work left undone. It’s unfortunate,” Dinosaurus remarks.
Moments pass, and suddenly, Las Vegas vanishes, reduced to shards of glass; countless people disappear as if they had never existed, a mere instant’s notice. “Oh my goodness,” Mark exclaims, struck by the devastation.
This significantly affects Mark’s interactions with those close to him; however, you’ll have to be patient to learn the outcome.
