Although the previous month’s Unseen Update was intended to be the last before Hades 2’s 1.0 release, it appears Supergiant has one more surprise in store. The most recent update is packed with adjustments for balance, enhancements, and repairs – some of which are based on player suggestions. Here’s a rundown of the changes.
Generally speaking, the latest update significantly enhances the power of playable characters, as various weapons, bonuses, and skills have received increases in damage, range, or additional attributes. Additionally, some skills have been simplified for easier use, and many enemies have been made less challenging.
As a gamer, I’ve noticed that some of the perks in my game are getting tweaked for balance purposes. A few are even being swapped out entirely – the Seismic Hammer from Poseidon and Hephaestus, Hera and Poseidon’s Golden Rule, and Demeter and Hephaestus’s Room Temperature have all been taken away and replaced with fresh new ones.
The update incorporates several user-friendly enhancements aimed at minimizing some annoyances. Now, you won’t accidentally deplete your Life while awaiting Athena’s arrival, nor will you find yourself in a predicament where your Life runs out between completing a Chaos Trial and being sent back by Chaos.
In addition to the update, there are numerous bug fixes that Supergiant Games have addressed ahead of the 1.0 release. For a comprehensive look at these fixes, you can find them listed below, but be cautious as some details may contain spoilers.

General Gameplay
Hey there fellow gamer! Just a heads-up about our upcoming v1.0 release and the epic story sequences leading to the True Ending. When you load your save game at that point, any Zodiac Sand or Void Lens resources you’ve got will magically transform into Prestige points for you. For now, feel free to keep stacking up on those resources if you fancy! Enjoy the gameplay!
Nocturnal Arms & Abilities
·Umbral Flames: increased Special projectile size and orbit speed

Aspects of the Nocturnal Arms
Artemis (Sister Blades): Increase the speed at which Riposte recovers, allowing for more frequent usage.
·Umbral Flames (Melinoë): increased Critical damage chance
Umbral Flames (Eos)”: Now, Special abilities no longer nullify other Special projectiles; enhancements have been made to the Daybreaker projectile’s tracking ability.
The special attacks of Umbral Flames (Eos) no longer override each other, and the tracking of the Daybreaker projectile has been improved.
·Moonstone Axe (Thanatos): increased Critical chance ramp-up and upper limit
·Witch’s Staff (Anubis): increased Magick cost of Omega Special
·Altered Special of Umbral Flames (Supay) now produces an additional bullet; changes in attack timing and Ultimate Attack; bullets no longer stun enemies; decreased the boost in damage for Rush Boon; breaks Urns with greater ease.
Black Coat (Shiva)’s altered Omega Special now rebounds multiple times within the targeted zone; the destructive damage bonus has been decreased to balance it out.

Hephaestus amplifies the destructive power of explosion-type abilities, like Smithy Rush; also enhances the bonus glow effect based on item rarity.
Hephaestus boosts the strength of explosive skills, including Smithy Rush; improves the advantage gained from a weapon’s rarity level.
·Tough Gain (Hephaestus): effect now activates even if you are protected by Paid Dues (Hermes)
·Molten Touch (Hephaestus): increased damage to Armor, increased bonus from Poms of Power

Hexes & Path of Stars

Upgrades granted by Godsend may recur in your future travels along the Path of Stars, provided you encounter the necessary Olympian after previous journeys.
As a gamer, I find that the Night Bloom’s Confluence ability now brings my summoned minions into play during my spell casts, rather than after I dash.

Dropped the bonus “Attending a Faithful Beast (Cauldron)” and its related advantages for your familiars while they rest.
Foes & Dangers
· Encounters on Olympus now have slightly fewer foes

Encountering enemies at the Summit now presents a slightly reduced threat, as some of the smaller enemies have received a slight boost in health.

Revised Typhon: Decrease the speed and power of the main eye’s explosion, shorten the lifespan of certain projectiles, and lessen the occurrence of cyclones during the second stage.

This change adds a new layer of strategy to gameplay, making it even more engaging!
