Battle Beast Roars His Way Onto The Invincible Vs. Playable Roster

Previously this month, Skybound and QuarterUp unveiled that Rex Splode would join Mark Invincible, Atom Eve, and others on the playable cast of Invincible Vs., the 3v3 tag-team fighting game due out next year. Today, at Robert Kirkman’s panel during San Diego Comic-Con, the creator of Invincible revealed another new combatant for the game, and this one has a more bestial nature.

In the Invincible universe, Battle Beast – a formidable warrior seeking an honorable opponent to end his life in grand fashion – has joined the roster of opponents. The teaser trailer for this colossal figure showcased some of his powerful moves, such as the one where he forcefully struck Bulletproof with his club, causing his head and limbs to fly off.

In the roster for Invincible Vs., Battle Beast is now added, making six fighters in total. Joining the previously mentioned characters like Invincible, Atom Eve, Bulletproof, and Rex Splode, along with Thula, a Viltrumite character. Although the initial reveal trailer from June showed Lucen and Omni-Man as potential characters, neither have been officially confirmed yet as playable fighters.

At an early June Xbox Showcase, Invincible was unveiled, alongside the announcement that Skybound had established their own development studio called Quarter Up. This team consists of experienced professionals from companies such as Activision, Riot Games, Xbox, and others, with Mike Willette serving as its founder. He previously worked on the reboot of Killer Instinct 2013 for Xbox, both as a developer and providing the announcer’s voice.

Invincible VS is set to launch in 2026 for Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC.
