Here are two upcoming announcements for Assassin’s Creed Shadows players as part of the latest summer update:

1. Ubisoft has shared some exciting features that will soon be added to the game, such as:
a. An option to fast-forward through the day, giving you more control over your gaming experience.

And there are even more improvements on the way! Stay tuned for further updates.

The action-adventure game “Assassin’s Creed Shadows” is now playable on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and personal computers (Steam, Epic Games Store, Ubisoft). You can find Dave’s initial thoughts about the game in his ongoing review right here.

Hey Assassins!

Just released is the summer upgrade for Assassin’s Creed Shadows! Here are the exciting details you should be aware of as we approach the following months in Assassin’s Creed Shadows.

To start off, we appreciate the fantastic responses to our recent title updates. It’s heartening to see you enjoying our unique collaborations with Dead by Daylight, the inclusion of Critical Role’s Rufino as an ally for your hideout, and not forgetting the Parkour Upgrades, enhanced Photo-mode, and most importantly, the introduction of our new Nightmare difficulty level!

Regarding Photomode, a big round of applause for the victors of our latest photo competition held on our official Discord channel! The triumphant shots can be found towards the conclusion of this piece, while the comprehensive winner’s collection is available here.

This summer, it’s all about progression. Remember these words: New. Game. Plus.

New Game+

starting on July 29th, the New Game+ mode will be accessible once you’ve completed the last story mission and the credits have finished rolling: by choosing this option, your Story and objective advancement, along with discovered locations, will be reset; however, your character level, equipment, skill points, Knowledge rank, and precious Hideout progress won’t be affected.

When initiating New Game+, you have the option to restart from scratch, experiencing the significant events of the Tensho War in Iga all over again, or jump ahead to where Naoe acquires the Hideout after the prologue. Regardless of your choice, we’ve ensured that there will be no repetition of the fundamental tutorials during your subsequent playthrough.

Progression Update

We’re raising the maximum level from 60 to 80 for all gamers, regardless if you’re playing in NG+ or not. Additionally, we’re introducing fresh Knowledge Ranks, enhanced Mastery and Knowledge Skill ranks, as well as updates for every Hideout building – yes, that even includes Heiji’s Forge! We have one upgrade planned for New Game+ and another one scheduled for our upcoming Summer update.

This version maintains the original information while aiming to provide a more engaging and easy-to-understand rephrasing of the text.

On July 29th, you’ll have the opportunity to encounter Project 3: fresh resources, data files, and unique Animus-themed prizes will be available for your acquisition. Keep in mind that if you’re yet to complete the first two projects, you’re free to either wrap them up or switch to the new project. There’s no rush, take your time!

Quality of Life Improvement Update

We’re equally excited to announce that another update is soon coming at the start of September! It’s filled with many popular features our community has been asking for since the launch. This update arrives before the Claws of Awaji expansion and, as always, it will be completely free for all players – simply download it to enjoy the new features!

This update will include:

  • The world map unfogging after completing viewpoint synchronization (per region).

  • The ability to skip time-of-day, jumping ahead to dusk or dawn.

  • An improvement to the Forge that allows you to craft items of higher quality, such as Mythic from Epic and Artifact from Legendary.

This version maintains the original meaning while using simpler language and a more conversational tone. The focus is on allowing the user to upgrade their items to rarer levels (Mythic and Artifact) through an update to the Forge, which is a tool for crafting or improving equipment.

  • Hideout Updates and Upgrades.

  • Uncapped framerate for cutscenes (PC only).

  • Additional goodies that may be familiar to long-time series fans.

  • Further bug fixes and stability improvements.

In the forthcoming weeks, we will disclose further specifics about this update. However, rest assured that we value your input, and our dedicated team is putting in extra effort to fulfill your requests and ideas as soon as possible!

Claws of Awaji

We’re excited to share that the release date for Claws of Awaji has been set: it will be available on September 16! Save the date and get ready to dive in. If you’ve pre-ordered Assassin’s Creed Shadows, you can enjoy this expansion at no extra cost! Just a heads up, you’ll only be able to access Claws of Awaji after completing the main story of the game, so make sure you’re ready for that first.

More details on the expansion to come soon.
