In August 2023, at the age of 52, Jamie passed away. Kevin Feige, along with Louis D’Esposito, co-president of Marvel Studios, expressed deep sadness over this loss. Jamie had been an integral part of the Marvel Studios family for more than a decade. On set, he was a tranquil presence behind the camera and always supportive to the crew members around him.

Initially, Jamie started working at Marvel Studios as an Assistant Director for Thor: The Dark World. Impressive dedication and focus led to him being promoted to Executive Producer for Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, as well as the upcoming Fantastic Four project.

Jamie held a cherished place within the Marvel Studios group, and we’re deeply saddened by his passing. Our heartfelt sympathies are extended to his loved ones during this difficult time.

He was a warm-hearted individual who garnered admiration from fellow directors, producers, cast members, but above all, those on the production crew. Everyone adored him, including me, and his absence is going to be deeply felt.
