Persona 5: The Phantom X Japanese & English versions will have different timings on standard banner additions

One of the hot topics among us gamers is Sega’s decision to adjust the arrival times of characters on the permanent standard gacha banner, syncing them with upcoming half-anniversaries.

To clarify, previous versions have moved characters who initially appeared on special gacha banners to the regular roster, including Minami “Marian” Miyashita. On the Chinese server, she was immediately included in the regular roster once her limited-time banner ended. Yet, this practice won’t be followed for newer releases in Japanese and English servers.

In the previous Ver1.1 stream, it was mentioned that Marian wouldn’t be part of the regular banner group right away following the end of her limited banner on July 24. The team didn’t give a specific timeline for when she would be added. Today, in the latest stream, Sakai clarified that characters will only be added to the standard banner after about six months, usually during significant milestones like the game’s half-anniversaries.

In both the English and Japanese broadcasts, Yuta Sakai provided explanations. However, it was observed that Sakai made distinct comments in the Japanese feed which were not present in the English subtitles.

On July 24th, both the Japanese and international versions of Persona 5: The Phantom X will undergo maintenance to install Update Version 1.2.
