2025 is shaping up to see a significant number of HGTV shows being axed, with as many as seven series having been cancelled this summer. Among them are “Christina on the Coast” and “The Flipping El Moussas,” which feature former spouses Christina Haack and Tarek El Moussa respectively. This news has left fans disappointed, but HGTV’s renowned home renovator appears to be handling the cancellations gracefully.
The final episode of Christina on the Coast aired earlier this year on the 2025 TV schedule, though it wasn’t known at that time that the show was ending. Despite the unexpected turn of events, Christina Haack seemed to be weathering the news, as she shared some photos of her family to Instagram, putting a positive spin on her situation with the caption:
So far, it’s been all about enjoying food and lots of laughter… Appearing less busy seems to suit me just fine, though I’m just joking! ❤️😜
It appears that the (former?) HGTV star seems to be relishing her kids’ summer break, and I must say, I admire her wit in addressing the cancellation of Chrstina on the Coast, as she spends her spare time bonding with her children and partner.
Christina Haack started a new relationship after her divorce from her third husband Josh Hall, as shown on The Flip Off recently. Since late 2024, she has been linked to CEO Chris Larocca. The pair appeared to be enjoying themselves with her children, Taylor and Brayden (with whom she shares custody with ex-husband Tarek El Moussa), and Hudson (whose father is Haack’s second ex-husband Ant Anstead).
The family appears to be savoring meals at various eateries during their apparent getaway, and I must concede that if this is her “cancelled” style, she carries it off effortlessly.
HGTV has now announced this summer that at least seven shows will not return, including:
- Married to Real Estate
- Farmhouse Fixer
- Izzy Does It
- Bargain Block
- Battle on the Beach
- Christina on the Coast
- The Flipping El Moussas
In January 2025, Christina Haack’s show, “Christina in the Country”, was taken off the air. Yet, you can still watch both that series and “Christina on the Coast” with an HBO Max subscription, as well as Tarek El Moussa’s shows and other popular programs from HGTV.
As a dedicated movie critic, I must express my unwavering anticipation for the potential second season of “The Flip Off.” The first installment showcased an enthralling house-flipping competition between Christina Haack and Tarek El Moussa, accompanied by his wife, Heather Rae. The grand prize: a luxurious family vacation!
However, the unexpected twist arrived when Josh Hall was supposed to join Haack’s team, but their divorce filing near the season’s inception left her to navigate the competition alone. Yet, despite these challenges, Haack demonstrated resilience and determination that left viewers on the edge of their seats.
Now, with positive news for one show, fans eagerly await further developments regarding a second season. Could this be the comeback we’ve all been waiting for? Only time will tell.

It was pleasant to watch her stand on her own, yet there was a wish among some that she and Heather Rae El Moussa, who have a great rapport, might join forces against Tarek in the upcoming challenge.
It appears HGTV might be facing challenging circumstances, so we’ll need to stay patient and observe how things unfold. On a positive note, it’s reassuring to witness Christina Haack gracefully navigating her recent situation.
