In approximately two months, Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds, the newest arcade racer from Sega, will be available on consoles and PC. This game features characters not only from Sonic the Hedgehog but also the largest roster ever in the series, including characters from Persona, Like A Dragon, Minecraft, and other popular franchises. CrossWorlds will offer cross-platform online multiplayer for PS5, Xbox, PC, and Nintendo Switch when it hits stores on September 25th. Preorders are currently available for both physical and digital versions, with early orders securing exclusive bonuses and discounts.
Sega is working on a special version of their game for the upcoming Switch 2 console, but it won’t be released until the holiday season of this year only in digital format. However, a true physical edition of the game will become available early in the year 2026, featuring a 64GB game card. If you’re eager to play the game as soon as possible, consider purchasing the Nintendo Switch version for $60. When the Switch 2 version is released, you can upgrade by paying an additional $10.
Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds Amazon-Exclusive Edition
One of the upcoming games, CrossWorlds, offers an exclusive version only available through Amazon. By pre-ordering the physical copy for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, or Xbox Series X, you’ll receive an exclusive poster, as shown below, within the package. This special edition was announced soon after Amazon revealed its exclusive version of Final Fantasy Tactics: The Ivalice Chronicles, which also includes a poster and will be launched a few days following CrossWorlds.
Every preorder, even the one exclusive to Amazon, comes bundled with the Sonic Werehog Downloadable Content (DLC) pack which includes various in-game items.

Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds PC Preorder Deals
Players using PC won’t receive a poster with their purchase, but they can take advantage of savings on preorders. Steam keys for both standard and Digital Deluxe editions are currently discounted at Fanatical (a subsidiary site of TopMob). The Digital Deluxe Edition comes packed with perks like the Season Pass, early access to the game three days before release, and additional in-game content.

In the upcoming game Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds, you’ll find a total of 23 racers to choose from, featuring familiar faces from the Sonic universe such as Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, Dr. Robotnik, among others. At its debut, CrossWorlds offers a selection of 24 primary dishes and 15 “CrossWorlds,” which can be instantly transported during gameplay using the innovative Travel Ring feature. The game will provide various single and multiplayer options such as offline split-screen cooperation for two players and online matchmaking that supports up to twelve participants.
