Only 2% of players have unlocked this annoying achievement in Baldur’s Gate 3, yet it’s actually easy to get and takes less than 30 minutes

The hardest accolades are intended to be the most challenging to acquire, that’s the basic principle. In Baldur’s Gate 3, you might assume that the toughest feat is Foehammer, given that it involves completing the game in Honor Mode. However, it’s not. Quite unexpectedly, the scarcest trophy in BG3 is linked to something more demanding than permadeath, tougher bosses, and no save reloads.

The least-earned achievement in BG3 isn’t what you think

Currently, only 2.6% of BG3 players have earned the Foehammer trophy, while a slightly smaller percentage, 2.4%, have achieved the Busker title. This makes it the scarcest achievement within the game. To obtain the Busker title, you must accumulate 100 gold by playing an instrument during a single playthrough. However, many players find this challenging because NPCs rarely reward much coin for performances, leading most to abandon their attempts.

I can understand why they wouldn’t want to do it. It seems absurdly monotonous when there are far more intriguing activities at hand, such as searching for a secret companion, encountering a spell-casting sheep (yes, that exists), or uncovering the most lethal weapon by combining a specific mace with a curse. There’s always some clever trick to weaken or defeat bosses (like Auntie Ethel) that makes repeating the same actions just to earn a bit of gold feel like a tedious task.

To clarify, my most unique accomplishments include “Leave No One Behind” (5.6%) and “Crash Landing” (7.2%), and currently, I’m pursuing the challenging feat of “Punch Drunk,” which requires defeating twenty opponents while intoxicated. I don’t have the luxury to waste time on lengthy tasks that seem endless!

At one point, I found myself teetering on the edge of belief that perhaps the developers had inadvertently overlooked an intuitive solution or simply nobody had stumbled upon it yet. However, what I’ve come to understand is, it’s not as challenging as it might initially seem. The reason many folks steer clear of this task is primarily due to the class it entails, which isn’t typically the first choice for most players.

How to get the hardest achievement in BG3

To put it simply, the quickest method of earning the Busker achievement in BG3 is by choosing a Bard character. Fortunately, you can modify your character’s attributes whenever you like by chatting with Withers at your camp. It’s essential to focus on increasing Charisma since it plays a crucial role, aiming for a minimum of 20 points. Additionally, pick up the Performance skill at level 3 and the Actor feat at level 4 for optimal results. These upgrades tend to attract more generous donations from others.

You’ll also want to discover a lively group of people. The Elfsong Tavern in Act 3 is an excellent choice, but the Lower City offers equally suitable locations (with numerous NPCs who are wealthy). Moreover, it’s important to note that you don’t need to physically gather the gold. Instead, the game registers it as soon as they toss it, not when you actually collect it. Consequently, the most challenging accomplishment in Baldur’s Gate 3 can be achieved within 15–30 minutes if you’re familiar with the process.
