The cast of Peacemaker Season 2 seemingly includes two villains who showed up in Superman.
After the debut of James Gunn’s Superman film, the upcoming DC Universe project is none other than Peacemaker Season 2, set to air on HBO Max within the next month. In this series, John Cena will once again play the character Christopher Smith. Interestingly, Gunn wrote every one of the eight episodes for the show.
What Superman villains will appear in Peacemaker Season 2?
According to ComicBookMovie, some DC Universe fans have pointed out that characters Otis (played by Terence Rosemore) and Sydney (portrayed by Stephen Blackehart) seem to be concealed in the backdrop of a Peacemaker Season 2 promotional video that was shared approximately a month ago.

In the movie, both Sydney and Otis were employees of Nicholas Hoult’s Lex Luthor in the Superman storyline. By the film’s end, they were all arrested, but since Frank Grillo’s character, Rick Flag Sr., is in charge of A.R.G.U.S., it appears he might secure their release if they consent to work for him instead.
In the upcoming season, we find Christopher ‘Chris’ Smith, also known as Peacemaker – the superhero vigilante – grappling with his past and his recent sense of purpose. Despite this, he persists in fighting against wicked individuals to maintain peace, even if it means compromising at times.
In addition to John Cena returning as the title character, Peacemaker Season 2 features actress Danielle Brooks portraying Leota Adebayo, Freddie Stroma as Adrian Chase/Vigilante, Jennifer Holland reprising her role as Emilia Harcourt, Steve Agee as John Economos, Sol Rodríguez as Sasha Bordeaux, Tim Meadows joining the cast as Langston Fleury, Michael Rooker appearing as Red St. Wild, and Isabela Merced taking on the part of Hawkgirl. Furthermore, Nathan Fillion will play Guy Gardner, Sean Gunn is set to portray Maxwell Lord, and more talented individuals are expected to round out the ensemble.
Peacemaker Season 2 will start streaming on HBO Max on August 21, 2025. At the moment, you can catch Superman in U.S. cinemas, and the next DCU project following Peacemaker is set to be Supergirl, which is slated for release in June 2026.
